Home and Away bit Matt Evans reveals that he eventually contracted Covid despite avoiding it throughout the pandemic, after mistaking his symptoms for hay fever.
Home and Away star Matt Evans shocked his fans on Tuesday by revealing that he has finally contracted Covid.
The Western Australian-born actor, 26, told his Instagram fans that he initially thought his symptoms were hay fever and was shocked when his covid test came back positive.
She wrote some chilling words along with a photo of her positive result: “Never had covid before so never will.” Next minute… definitely not hay fever.

Fortunately, Matt had the support of his 59,000 followers, who were quick to wish him a speedy recovery.
One concerned fan wrote ‘hope you don’t do too bad’, adding that she should ‘get enough rest’.
Another advised the handsome actor to “drink a lot of water.”
The Western Australian-born actor told his Instagram fans that he initially thought his symptoms were hay fever and was shocked when his Covid test came back positive.
Matt rose to fame two years ago when he landed in the Top 20 for Team Delta Goodrem on The Voice Australia.
The star said earlier this year that he is drawn to writing love songs, but admitted that he doesn’t fall in love easily.
“I write a lot of love songs, which is fun because I haven’t had a lot of girlfriends,” he said.

“I think it feels natural to speak my mind through music, while sometimes I struggle in real life,” he added.
Matt, who plays Theo Poulos on the show, will play his music on the series for the next several scenes.

“It’s been hard to almost quit music just doing acting for a while, so it’s really nice to be able to do both.”
