Hollywood stars look unrecognizable filming alongside Austin Butler in new Darren Aronofsky thriller

Liev Schreiber looked unrecognizable on the set of Darren Aronofsky’s crime thriller Caught Stealing, starring Austin Butler, Zoë Kravitz and Regina King.

The 57-year-old actor, who recently starred alongside Nicole Kidman in the Netflix whodunit The Perfect Couple, was dressed this weekend in clothing traditionally worn by Orthodox Jews.

While in character, the father of three apparently wore a hoiche (a black hat with a tall crown), a long dark jacket and a white shirt.

Schreiber, who usually has heavy stubble and a short cut, also wore a fake mustache and beard as he stepped in front of the cameras.

However, his piercing blue eyes, tall stature, and muscular build all remained intact.

Details about Schreiber’s role in Caught Stealing have been kept under wraps since news broke that he was joining the cast alongside House of the Dragon’s Matt Smith in August.

The nine-time Emmy nominee, known for his starring role in Ray Donovan, was filming with Vincent D’Onofrio.

D’Onofrio, 65, was dressed in similar clothing and nearly identical facial hair.

Butler, who was wearing a blue “Belmont Metals” jacket and pants, was also on set at the same time.

The Elvis star, 33, helms the film, which is based on Charlie Huston’s book of the same name, with Kravitz and King.

In the film he plays a former baseball player who comes into contact with criminals.

Filming for Caught Stealing began in late September, six months after Butler’s casting was confirmed.

According to Termthe film “follows Hank Thompson (Butler), a burned-out former baseball player, as he unknowingly becomes embroiled in a wild fight for survival in the criminal underworld of 1990s downtown New York City.”

Caught Stealing marks Butler’s latest high-profile role after starring in Dune: Part Two, which remains the highest-grossing film of 2024 to date.

The Dune sequel – which also starred Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh – has raked in $700 million worldwide since its theatrical release in March.

Butler earned his first-ever Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination for Best Actor last year for his portrayal of late music icon Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s critically acclaimed 2022 musical biopic.

Elvis catapulted Butler to A-list stardom more than two decades after he found fame as a child star on Nickelodeon in the early 2000s.

Butler’s latest film The Bikeriders, starring Tom Hardy and Jodie Comer, hits theaters in June and has an 80 percent “fresh” rating. Rotten Tomatoes.

As for Kravitz, Lenny Kravitz’s daughter released her directorial debut film Blink Twice in late August after years of working in front of the camera.
