Hollywood star Kevin Spacey arrives in court today to face trial over a slew of sexual claims
Hollywood star Kevin Spacey has arrived at Southwark Crown Court as his trial continues over a string of alleged sex offenses against four men stretching back two decades
Yesterday, prosecutors told the court that Spacey assaulted a man in a car on his way to Sir Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball.
Jurors were shown footage of a police interview in which the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said it was as if the Oscar-winning actor “thought he could take care of me.”
The witness described Spacey as a “smooth, cunning, difficult person” and referred to the star’s serial killer character in the movie Seven, saying, “He’s kind of like that, kind of creepy.”
In the video played to the judges, the man said Spacey told him he could introduce him to A-list stars. The man claimed that Spacey placed the man’s hand on his genitals five or six times and attacked him in other ways five or six times.

Spacey, 63, has been described by prosecutors as a “sexual bully” as he is accused of grabbing, squeezing and touching the genitals and buttocks of his four victims above their clothing between 2005 and 2013 – usually during his time as Artistic Director at The Old Vic theatre. Three indecent assaults and four assaults date from 2001 to 2004. The five other offenses range from 2005 to 2013.
Yesterday, an alleged victim claimed that one of the alleged attacks took place in a car on the way to Sir Elton’s £1million White Tie and Tiara Ball at the Rocketman singer’s Windsor home.
The man said, “He went to a lot of lavish parties at that time, he was very famous, he had just done American Beauty, he was an Oscar winner. Elton John was going to throw a big Windsor party and it was a big £1 million party. It was a summer party, The White Tie and Tiara Ball, it was called.
“He was worried that the press would take pictures of him, so he was tense, he had been drinking too. We went there and he was pretty excited. He actually hit me right in the balls. It was breathtaking, he laughed with a giggle and I said it fucking hurt. He said nothing, he just laughed and giggled. He said; “oh stop it, stop it.” He grabbed me so hard I almost went off the road.
“Obviously he had been drinking quite a bit and drugs too, and I said not everyone has to do that again, it really hurt. And he laughed about it: “oh that turns me on, oh you’re such a man” he said. I was disgusted that he had done that.’

The man also said, “He tried to grope and grab me and make me feel very uncomfortable.”
The man said Spacey told him he could introduce him to A-list stars, and said when he tried to fight back against one of the alleged assaults, the actor replied, “I find that so exciting.” You are such a man.’
The man outlined his allegations against the defendant, saying, “He grabbed me on private property and then tried to get hold of him.”
The man said he was trying to “obscure” what had happened.
In describing an incident that he said happened to him, the man said, “He grabbed me so hard I almost went off the road.
“He grabbed me really hard and it really hurt. I pushed him against the door and said, ‘Don’t do that again or I’ll knock you out.’
The man continued to talk about the incident and told the police officer, “I was disgusted that he had done that.”
Actor Kevin Spacey arrives at Southwark Crown Court yesterday for the continuation of his trial
The court heard that the alleged victim described the actor as ‘very touchy’.
He told the police officer, ‘Being a man’s man and a professional, of course I found it rather creepy and just plain uncomfortable. He made me feel so uncomfortable and uncomfortable.”
The man said the actor became “very friendly” and started grabbing him several times, after which the alleged victim told him to stop.
He added: “He kind of left me and said nothing. He just laughed it off and changed the subject.”
You could see the man describe Spacey as a “smooth, cunning, difficult person” and a “very confused individual.”
He continued, “He grabbed me. He grabbed me tight a few times. He squeezed my ass and rubbed my legs.’
The man added, “It’s like he thought he could take care of me.”

The court heard that Spacey began assaulting the man within two to three weeks of meeting him.
The witness said in his police questioning: ‘(Within) two to three weeks he started to make me feel uncomfortable.
“From the first two to three weeks, he tried to get into my head about what my sexuality was like.”
The man claimed he had been assaulted more than a dozen times by Spacey.
He said the actor also occasionally grabbed his buttocks and walked around naked in his London hotel room in front of his alleged victim, jurors heard.
In addition, the man said he couldn’t bring himself to watch any of his movies.

He said in his police interrogation, “I can’t stand looking at the man. It makes me sick. He was quite an angry person. He was clearly angry inside.’
He later described the actor as a “very confused, confused individual.” He said he was “pretending to be nice,” but was a “predator” who was “aggressive.”
He added: “Obviously he was very confused about his sexuality.”
Spacey pleaded not guilty in January to three charges of indecent assault, three charges of sexual assault and one charge of causing sexual activity without a person’s consent.
The two-time Academy Award winner also previously denied four other charges of sexual assault and one count of causing penetrative sexual activity without a person’s consent.
The process continues.
