Hollywood star is announced as a surprise headliner for BST Hyde Park – and he’s set to perform a medley of classics from his 30-year career
Hugh Jackman has been announced as a surprise headliner for BST Hyde Park next summer, adding a touch of Hollywood to the line-up.
The Greatest Showman star, 56, will take to the stage with his show entitled From London With Love, to perform a medley of classics from his wide range of stage roles.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Hugh is best known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, but Jackman began his career in musical theater, starting with his role as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast in Australia.
This led to an Olivier-nominated performance in Oklahoma! and a Tony Award-winning role in Broadway’s The Boy from Oz.
He returned to musicals in the 2012 film Les Miserables, and in 2017’s The Greatest Showman, and in 2021 he returned to Broadway in a revival of the box office hit The Music Man.

It comes amid swirling rumors that Hugh is dating his Broadway co-star Sutton Foster, after she filed for divorce from her estranged husband Ted Griffin last week.
Hugh and Sutton starred together in The Music Man on Broadway in 2022, a year before he announced his divorce from his wife Deborra-Lee Furness after 27 years of marriage.
Speculation about the couple’s relationship started in Broadway circles when they were co-stars, according to a number of sources Page six that Sutton and Hugh have ‘fallen in love’.
“They are 100 percent together, in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,” an insider previously told the publication.
The couple is reportedly doing well but has kept the relationship out of the public eye, according to sources.
‘They’re still together. They do everything they can to hide it, but it is common knowledge.
Both have strong backgrounds in musical theatre, with Hugh regularly showcasing his singing and dancing skills in various productions, while Sutton has been praised for her vocal and dancing skills.

Sutton was born in Georgia in 1975 and has a 30-year career in drama, including theatre, film and TV and singing.
The two-time Tony Award winner’s background is similar to Hugh’s: he started in theater and has an ongoing passion for live performance.
They have also both adopted children, with Sutton and her ex-husband Ted being the proud parents of daughter Emily, seven, while Hugh shares Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19, with his ex-wife Deborra-Lee.
Both are involved in various charitable activities and use their platforms to support arts education and other causes.
Sutton has performed in some of the world’s most popular theater productions, including the role of Sandy in Grease, the title character in Thoroughly Modern Millie and Princess Fiona in Shrek: The Musical.
