Hollywood recluse Jack Nicholson, 85, exchanges words and hug with LeBron James during LA Lakers game

One of Hollywood’s most reclusive actors, Jack Nicholson, came out of hiding for the second time in 18 months to enjoy an LA Lakers game and exchange warm words and a hug with LeBron James.

It was his second sighting in recent months, after he was spotted hanging out on the balcony of his infamous Mullholland Drive compound in Beverly Hills two weeks ago.

The 85-year-old Oscar winner looked too cool for school, as he wore black sunglasses indoors, along with a black blazer and button-up shirt. He brightened up the outfit with red pants.

Before the game — where the Lakers easily defeated the Grizzles to advance — superstar LeBron James came over to give the actor a hug — and the pair appeared to have a brief conversation. The conversation was audible, but the two icons seemed jovial.

Seinfeld co-creator Larry David also walked over to Nicholson for a quick handshake before returning to his seat.

Also in attendance was powerhouse singer Adele, but it is unknown if she and Nicholson spoke.

Nicholson was a fixture in the last half-century of Lakers history, cheering the team through several eras of success after getting his season tickets in 1970.

He was the most prominent face in the gallery of celebrity fans of the Lakers, his sunglasses and famous grin always present on the court – and occasionally on the court when he was particularly displeased with an official’s call.

Nicholson cheered as the Showtime Lakers won championships and captured Hollywood’s imagination, and he remained an ardent fan as they went on to win five more titles in the Kobe Bryant era.

He famously adjusted his shooting schedules and in-person meetings to keep himself free to watch every major Lakers game.

Nicholson rarely attended games after fans returned to the Lakers’ building following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the chance to watch the Lakers try to win a playoff series at home for the first time since 2013 was irresistible for their number 1. fan.

The composite appearance came just weeks after the Shining star looked confused on his balcony. His rugged appearance came after multiple reports suggested the star’s friends feared he might die alone, in much the same way as his former neighbor and fellow screen legend Marlon Brando did.

Nicholson is perhaps La La Land’s most famous bachelor. He was married for four years before making it in Hollywood. His most famous romance with Angelica Houston ended nearly 25 years ago.

“He has made it clear that his home is his castle. But people would just want him to get out of the house and show up to tell them how — or at least reassure people that he’s okay,” an unnamed friend told Radar Online in January.

“Jack is in contact with certain family members – especially Ray, his protégé, of whom he is so proud – but his socializing days are long gone,” they added.

He was last seen in October 2021 alongside his doppelgänger son Ray, sitting courtside watching his beloved LA Lakers. Ray, 31, is reportedly one of the few people Nicholson interacts with.

His last on-screen appearance was in 2010’s little-known How Do You Know, starring Owen Wilson and Reese Witherspoon.

The New Jersey native has for years dodged rumors that he retired from acting because he battles dementia and can no longer remember his lines.

In January, his unnamed friend told Radar that while Nicholson was in good physical shape, “his mind is gone.”

Shortly after those reports came out, former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly said during an episode of his No Spin News broadcast that Nicholson’s mental health had declined “bull.”

“I visited Jack Nicholson a few months ago. I had a long talk with him and he follows the No Spin News closely and had all sorts of intelligent questions for me,” said O’Reilly.

“I’ve been friends with him for decades. He’s 85, okay? But he is more intellectually agile than the president of the United States,” continued the former Inside Edition presenter.

Despite his confirmed bachelor status, Nicholson has fathered six children with five different women.

Nicholson has been criticized for never acknowledging his paternity of his alleged daughter Tessa Gourin, who was born from his brief affair with waitress Jeanine Gourin.
