A Hollywood child star who rose to fame in Malcolm in the Middle was barely recognizable 24 years after starring.
Frankie Muniz, 38, who played the titular character on the sitcom, recently teased a reboot of the hit 1990s show.
Frankie has returned to TV screens in the Australian version of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after he was revealed as a campmate.
The new series, which is being filmed in South Africa, kicked off on Saturday evening as a new crop of celebrities took to the jungle.
But when Frankie was revealed as one of the celebrities who would take part in the grueling endurance show, he looked worlds away from his recognizable role.

Prior to his appearance, Frankie teased a revival of the show, which made him famous, starring the original cast.
The series will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the season 1 premiere in January 2025.
Speak with PEDESTRIAN.TV Ahead of his I’m A Celebrity appearance, Frankie said “without giving too much away because nothing has been confirmed, but it’s the closest thing to reality.”
There has been speculation about a reboot for a number of years, and now discussions are underway, with the cast keen to return.
“I think it would be really fun to dive into that world and see where everyone is, as adults, because really, the possibilities are endless for where everyone can be,” he said.

The actor will appear in the series alongside Australian radio host Brittany Hockley.

The rest of the cast will be revealed during the premiere on Sunday evening.
Muniz has admitted that he will have “no idea” who his castmates are as he doesn’t know “anyone.”
The storyline of each episode usually focused on the various pranks of Malcolm and his decidedly less intelligent brothers.
“The show ended 18 years ago, so it’s crazy that there’s still a lot of interest,” he added.
The update comes as Frankie has been revealed as the Hollywood star who will appear in season 10 of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Australia.

Along with Frankie, the show also starred Bryan Cranston, 68, as Hal, Jane Kaczmarek, 68, as mother Lois, and Christopher Kennedy Masterson, Justin Berfield and Erik Per Sullivan as brothers Francis, Reese and Dewey, respectively.
The seven-time Emmy-winning comedy revolved around gifted middle child Malcolm, who had an IQ of 165.
He admitted The Daily Telegraph that he was asked to appear on several seasons of the show before finally agreeing.
“It was always something that the schedule didn’t work out and the show wasn’t airing in the US, so to be honest I didn’t know exactly what it was,” he said.
The star notably put his Hollywood career aside to focus on race car driving, and was also briefly the drummer for the band You Hang Up from 2012 to 2014.
