Actor Gabriel Olds has been arrested and jailed on suspicion of rape.
The 52-year-old was charged on July 19 with seven counts of sexual assault after several women came forward with horrific stories of consensual dates that turned violent.
The alleged crimes are said to have taken place between 2013 and 2023, KTLA reported.
The women, who graduated from Yale University, accused Olds, best known for his role as the young Pat Robertson in the Oscar-winning film The Eyes of Tammy Faye, of abusing his Ivy League status and his standing as an actor in Hollywood to put them in a vulnerable position.
“Each victim indicated that Olds gave them a false sense of security during their initial encounters and then became violent without their consent,” Los Angeles police said in a statement.

A 41-year-old woman was the first to report Olds to police on January 19, 2023, alleging he raped her in her LA home.
Later, two more women came forward and gave similar statements to police, saying the attacks had taken place as early as 2013.
According to police, they both described “consensual dates that culminated in violent sexual assault.”
According to police, several women have reported meeting Olds through dating apps in recent years, suggesting there may be more victims.
In total, police say they have identified three women who were sexually assaulted by the actor, and another two who reported experiencing less violent behavior.
According to police, the actor’s modus operandi was to lure women through dating apps by bragging about his Yale degree.

“We kept hearing the same story,” said LAPD Detective Brent Hopkins.
“Mr. Olds started out charming, but then used brutal force to carry out these rapes. Some of these survivors suffered in silence for years before finding the strength to speak out. Now that he’s off the streets, we want to make sure everyone has the chance to be heard.”
Olds has appeared in 74 acting roles in numerous films and television series since the late 1980s.
He appeared in episodes of ‘Party of Five’ and ‘The Mentalist.’
