James Nightingale makes a shocking deal that could throw his wedding into chaos in next week’s Hollyoaks, after agreeing to make a deal with jailed incel Eric Foster.

In the next few scenes, the lawyer decides to represent Eric during his appeal to try to reduce his prison sentence, in a desperate attempt to earn enough money to pay for the treatment of his cancer-stricken sister Juliet.

But, when James decides to end their deal, Eric isn’t so willing to let him go and demands that he steal a necklace from his trailer to earn the money.

Ste is also enraged when he learns that James has accepted Eric as a client and gives him a stern ultimatum: drop the case or say goodbye to his family forever.

Will this stop the couples big day?

Drama! In the next few scenes, the lawyer decides to represent Eric during his appeal to try to reduce his prison sentence.

When James learns that a private clinic in Germany can take Juliet for stem cell treatment, he’s desperate to find the money to pay for it as quickly as possible.

But, he is stunned when Eric (Angus Castle-Doughty) reveals that in order to get the money the desperate lawyer needs to pay for his sister’s treatment, he must break into her police-held trailer and retrieve a necklace…

Things go from bad to worse for James (Gregory Finnegan) when he’s caught by Detective Sergeant Zoe… which means his loved ones might finally discover the truth about their deal.

Meanwhile, Ste (Kieron Richardson) has a morning of dance lessons planned in preparation for his wedding, and not taking no for an answer, the enthusiastic fiancé arranges for Maxine to handle James’ business meeting.

Backed into a corner, James confesses to Ste that his new client is the reclusive Eric Foster…

Ste is hurt and angry at his fiancée’s decision to take Eric on as a client and leaves James with another ultimatum to decide between; drop Eric’s case and choose his family or his career.

Ste and James’ relationship woes are put on hold as the families come together to prepare a send-off for Juliet and Peri, unaware that the couple plans to leave without saying goodbye.

That night, Ste finds a distraught James, overwhelmed by fears about his little sister’s future and fearful that it is the end of their relationship.

Dark: But, when James decides to end their deal, Eric isn’t so willing to let him go and demands that he steal a necklace from his trailer to earn the money.

Strain! James doesn’t know if he will go through with Eric’s request, as he struggles to find the money to pay for Juliet’s treatment.

It comes after viewers finally learn of Eric’s fate as he is finally sentenced for his dramatic siege on The Dog.

In tense scenes, Tony Hutchinson and his wife Diane will finally learn how long Eric will spend behind bars for his crimes, after he tormented the town with his violent threats.

Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson), who was kidnapped by Eric, joins Tony and his wife Diane as they await news of Eric’s fate.

Eric spent weeks terrorizing the town’s women, spiking their drinks while grooming teenager Mason Chen-Williams (Frank Kauer).

Things came to a head when Eric took several people hostage at The Dog and shot Diane and Maxine with a crossbow.

Eric was later arrested and sent to prison, with viewers learning that he had pleaded guilty, much to the shock of Diane and Maxine.

The fallout has also left Tony increasingly fearful for his wife’s safety, and the next few scenes see him worrying about Diane as he prepares to embark on a women’s conference.

Hearing about Eric’s sentence, Tony is surprised when he receives a letter from his brother inviting him to visit him.

Diane is also convinced that her husband needs to seek professional help for what he is going through, and she later accompanies Tony on his visit to see Eric. Will this bring the family some much-needed closure?

Hollyoaks airs Monday to Friday at 6:30pm on Channel 4 and the first few episodes at 7pm on E4.
