Shock: It’s Mother’s Day and Glynis Barber’s character is on with her plan, but when a fight behind the wheel leads to an accident, her life hangs in the balance.

Plan: Sienna (Anna Passey) prepares to make the twins go out with Warren and Norma, but realizes their passports are missing as she puts everything together.

Charlie then comes home, much to Nancy’s relief as the family is reunited, but things take an unexpected turn when Charlie sees that baby Morgan’s foot has turned blue.

Nancy and Darren take their baby to the hospital, where the doctors confirm that Morgan’s blue foot was due to poor circulation.

The revelation shocks the couple, prompting Nancy to take a break while the anxious Darren furiously tries to contact her, with more awkward scenes ahead for the two.

Despite their differences, Nancy and Darren eventually come together and reconcile over their daughter, though Nancy continues to grieve in future scenes, believing that she has failed her children.

Nancy desperately wants a miracle, but whether she will get it remains to be seen.

It also seems possible that the plot could lead to her temporary departure from the show, given that actress Jessica finished filming before her maternity leave.

Hollyoaks airs weekdays at 6:30pm on Channel 4 with the first few episodes at 7pm on E4.
