Holly Willoughby’s cameo role in Midsomer Murders is teased by the presenter seemingly appearing as herself in the ITV drama.

The This Morning stars’ acting stint was reviewed on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday.

Presenters Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley played a clip from the drama ahead of its return this Sunday.

In the clip, Holly – who appeared in the drama in 2021 – can be seen sitting on a throne while being interviewed.

One detective asks, “Is that the queen of the day,” while his older colleague replies, “Gloria Hunniford?” Are you sure?’

Richard joked, “That’s Holly!” with Kate adding: ‘What does she turn up in Midsomer?’

Neil Dudgeon, who plays DCI John Barnaby in the ITV drama series, told the presenters: “Well, she’s kind of a friend of the show I think – she’s a big fan of the show and we’re always looking to get our broadening the casting net. .’

He added: ‘She was amazing, she was professional through and through. I think she was a little nervous when she first arrived. She plays a character called Holly Willoughby, I wouldn’t say it’s her.’

Neil joked ‘that never stopped us in Midsomer’, and teased that Holly will either be killed or exposed as the murderer herself – ‘or something like that’.
