Holly Willoughby surprises fans as she returns to This Morning in pre-recorded clip – two months after stepping down over kidnap and murder plot

Holly Willoughby stunned This Morning fans on Wednesday after returning to the show for a celebrity interview, albeit in a pre-recorded segment.

Willoughby stepped back from her role as host of the daytime flagship in October after an alleged plot to kidnap and murder the mother-of-three resulted in the arrest of a man from Harlow, Essex.

But she was back on ITV1 for the first time since her resignation as This Morning aired a celebratory compilation of clips from the past 12 months, including one with Willoughby that was originally shown in July.

Sitting next to co-host Craig Doyle on the show's famous couch, the host was on hand to interview Hollywood star Idina Menzel about her iconic role as Elsa in the animated Disney classic Frozen.
