Holly Willoughby shares a rare make-up-free video and dubs skin pigmentation the ‘bane of her life’
Holly Willoughby shows off her dewy complexion in a rare makeup-free video in which she calls skin pigmentation the ‘curse of her life’
Holly Willoughby got candid about her skin issues on Wednesday when she shared a no-makeup video with her 8.2 million Instagram followers.
The presenter, 42, admitted that skin pigmentation is the “curse of my life” during the video, sporting a pink patch on her cheek.
She ran her hand over her cheekbone and said to the camera, “Look, see this here? This is my pigmentation, that’s the bane of my life.’
During the social media clip, which was live-streamed from her account, Holly was completely natural — she flipped back her blonde locks to show off her glowing skin.
While going over her skin care routine, the star emphasized the importance of SPF and Vitamin C while advising younger generations to avoid the pigmentation she battles.

Hyperpigmentation or skin pigmentation describes when certain areas of your skin are darker than the rest and is caused by a pigment called melanin.
And when she shared the places where she has this, Holly appeared on camera in white pajamas with black trim.
While going over her skincare regimen, she told the camera, “Now if it was daytime, which it isn’t, I’d be putting on my SPF right now, but I’m not going to.” If any of you are young, and I’m sure you are, don’t forget to put on your SPF.
‘Cause look, do you see this here? This is my pigmentation, the bane of my life. I’m looking at perm, vitamin c is really good for pigmentation, they have that oxygen face mask and it’s really really good.
“I’m kind of getting into that, but your first defense against pigmentation is to not let it happen in the first place,” she shared.
The star promoted her new HOLLY-DAY EDIT, a makeup collection she is releasing under the Beauty Pie brand.
And the video comes after Holly suffered a bout of shingles last week and has now recovered.

Last Friday, Holly gave fans a health update after she was absent from This Morning due to shingles.
While she didn’t confirm the day, she suggested she’ll be back on screen once she says she’s “feeling so much better.”
The host took to her Instagram Stories to thank fellow This Morning star Dermot O’Leary, 49, for sending her some soup and a Reuben sandwich as she recovered.
Sharing part of her meal, she wrote, “Thank you @dermotoleary for the sweetest delivery of chicken soup and cured beef… just what I needed.”
‘I feel so much better. Thank you all for your good wishes.’
