Holly Willoughby celebrates her 42nd birthday as a host of celebrities send their best wishes

Holly Willoughby took to Instagram on Friday to share a beaming snap as she celebrated her 42nd birthday.

The This Morning host was holding a huge bouquet and was surrounded by half a dozen gold balloons.

Holly looked beautiful with a light layer of makeup and her blonde hair flowing.

She captioned the snap: ‘It’s my BIRTHDAY! Thank you for all your kind wishes…what a beautiful day,’

‘Best birthday present of glorious blue skies and sunshine…with a side/piece of healthy cake…greatest love H x’.

A host of celebrity friends were quick to congratulate the beauty on her big day with Phillip Schofield, 60, writing: “Happy birthday beautiful, hope you have the best day ever.”

Meanwhile, actress friend Tamzin Outhwaite, 52, said: “Happy birthday to this beauty, have a lovely day Hol.”

Spice Girl Emma Bunton marked the occasion with a plethora of snaps of herself and Holly writing, “Happy birthday you beautiful girl.”

Commenting on her snap, Kate Ferdinand said: ‘Happy birthday darling! I hope you have the best day.’

And Gino D’Acampo, 46, said “Happy Birthday” in his native Italian.

Holly started the celebrations early when she went out partying with her This Morning crew on Thursday.

The presenter looked delighted to be surprised with champagne and cake in the closing moments of the show.

After Loose Women’s Charlene White wished Holly a happy birthday, Phillip Schofiled feigned surprise when he asked, ‘Oh my gosh, is it your birthday?’

Juliet Sear then came out with a homemade cake as Holly exclaimed, “That’s got so much butter icing on it, which is what I love.”

As the entire team gathered to pass on their well wishes, Holly admitted, “I’m getting to that age now where I actually forget how old I am – 42 tomorrow.”

On Monday, the presenter fell to the ground after trying to get his leg up in the air and landing in the splits during the break.

He ended up collapsing to the ground after his knee gave out and he started laughing.

However, the cameras managed to capture it all, and Phillip delighted in showing the clip to viewers back home.
