Holly Hagan gave birth! Geordie Shore star welcomes a baby boy with husband Jacob Blythe and admits she ‘couldn’t have wished for a better birth experience’

Holly Hagan has welcomed her first child with husband Jacob Blythe.

The Geordie Shore star confirmed the news in an Instagram post Monday night, shortly after giving birth in Greater Manchester.

Sharing a short post, she wrote: ‘Here’s here! We’re doing great. Tomorrow morning there will be a small hospital update on my blog.

A huge thank you to the incredible staff at Wythenshawe Hospital. I couldn’t have wished for a better birth experience. Just enjoy our little baby bubble.’

Holly announced she would welcome her first child in January, six months after marrying National League footballer Jacob in an Ibiza summer wedding.

Announcing the news in an exclusive video with OK! magazine, Holly told Jacob, “Your patience, strength and resilience inspire me every day and I couldn’t think of a strong role model for our future children.”

The video then cut to Jacob unwrapping a gift with a positive pregnancy test, prompting a shocked reaction from the footballer.

The following month, Holly announced she was expecting a son after filming a gender reveal and joint second wedding party for Geordie Shore.

At the event, Holly and her husband made sure no expense was spared in their announcement – complete with huge light up letters, amazing flowers, a photo booth and a gorgeous cake.

Holly has updated fans on her pregnancy and revealed that she chose an unusual name for her unborn child.

When a fan asked if she’d picked a name during an Instagram Q&A, Holly wrote, “We’ve only had one name since the beginning and that was a boy name.

‘Never thought of a girl’s name because I just knew it was a boy. I am in love with the name.

“It’s unusual, but after you say it a few times you’ll think why isn’t that more common as a name?”

Holly also revealed what she found most difficult about her pregnancy.

The star said she was used to keeping moving but needed to rest more while carrying her baby.

She explained, “Probably the lack of energy! I’m so used to being active and I just felt so lazy and useless!

“I can barely get to the fridge and back and you have women working 13-hour shifts all day and not being able to go on maternity leave until the last minute.

“I don’t think I really understood the sacrifice until I was pregnant myself.”

While the majority of Holly’s followers supported her pregnancy journey, she experienced “bump shaming” from trolls.

Holly revealed that she was told to “wear a little more to protect the bump,” to which she hit back by saying, “I’m sorry, but no clothes will ‘protect’ my bump.”

“Unless there is a portable airbag that I have to wear for 9 months, please inform me.”

She had previously joked about the size of her bump after her abs were still prominent at five months old.
