Viewers of the Netherlands’ victory over Poland on Sunday found themselves grimacing as the cameras cut to Ronaldo Koeman picking his nose and appearing to eat what he found.
The Holland manager drew comparisons to former Germany boss Joachim Löw when he stuck his finger up his nose before licking it.
Low went viral several times, both for picking his nose and for sniffing his hand after reaching into his pants.
And Koeman’s clip quickly gained traction after it was posted on social media during the match, with fans understandably disgusted.
The Dutchman is unlikely to be too worried after his side came from behind to win the opening match of Euro 2024.

Substitute Wout Weghorst struck late to give them a 2-1 win over Poland in their Group D match.
Adam Buksa headed Poland into an early lead at Hamburg’s Volksparkstadion, but Cody Gakpo ensured the half-time score was level.
The Netherlands pushed for a late winner and it came when Burnley striker Weghorst fired home in the 83rd minute.
Poland was without captain and talisman Robert Lewandowski due to a thigh injury, but still took the lead in the 16th minute.
Piotr Zielinski, who took over the armband in Lewandowski’s absence, produced a beautiful corner that Buksa headed into the far corner.

It led to jubilant scenes from substitute Lewandowski in the Poland dugout and delivered a shock to the Netherlands, who had started the tournament with six wins in seven games and 21 goals in that period.
However, there was a quick response from Koeman’s men, with Liverpool striker Gakpo leveling after 29 minutes.
Nathan Aké charged forward to win a loose ball and tee up Gakpo, who found the net from 22 yards using a deflection for his 10th international goal.
Things remained level at half-time, but the Netherlands started the break strongly and Xavi Simons went wide in a well-placed position after good work from Gakpo.
Koeman’s men continued to dictate possession but Poland came close when Nicola Zalewski had a header saved by Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen.
As the seconds ticked away, Koeman turned to his bench and Weghorst provided the answer when he fired Aké’s low ball into the area just two minutes after coming on.
