Two teenagers were reportedly caught speeding 45 miles (71 km) that same night, just before another driver flipped his car on the same road.
Police found a white Volvo on its roof in the middle of the road on Hodges Drive in Perth after the 23-year-old driver lost control and crashed at 11.40pm on Friday.
A 27-year-old passenger was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital by paramedics, while the driver walked away unharmed.
Officers said the 23-year-old lost control shortly before hitting a speed sign.
Twenty minutes earlier that evening, police stopped two cars driven by teenagers aged 18 and 17.
Police claim these teenagers were racing side by side, reaching a speed of 141km on a road with a 70km speed limit.
The teens were picked up near Ocean Reef Harbor and both cars were quickly seized.
It is expected that every driver will be fined reckless driving.

Twenty minutes earlier, police allegedly stopped two teenagers, aged 18 and 17, on the same road at 11.20pm, traveling 141km in a 70km zone.
Acting Inspector Adrian Fuller said hooning on the main thoroughfare would not be tolerated.
“We will not tolerate this unsafe driving behavior, nor will we tolerate people who want to turn public roads into their own personal drag strip or race track,” he said.
‘This nature of violations places other road users, as well as the offending motorists themselves, at a serious risk of injury or death.
“I would encourage anyone who witnesses excessive driving or dangerous driving in the community to report it to police.”
