Hoda Kotb sparks frenzied speculation that she is BACK with her ex-fiancé after fans spot ring

Hoda Kotb has fans speculating that she has rekindled her relationship with ex-fiancé Joel Schiffman after she was spotted wearing a ring on the Today show.

The 60-year-old broadcaster, who is preparing to leave the NBC program on Jan. 10 after 26 years at the network, was seen playing with the jewelry during Thursday’s episode, in which she joined Laura Jarrett and Dylan Dreyer was frontman.

Eagle-eyed viewers could see that on her left hand, Hoda was wearing a ring on her fourth finger — the same hand and finger that engagement rings are typically worn on.

Many shared their findings on her social media, hoping Hoda sent a subtle signal that she is back with Joel, 66.

“Did anyone else notice the ring on Hoda’s left hand this morning?” one person wrote on her Instagram page.

“I was waiting for an announcement,” replied another. ‘At one point she was playing with it and sliding it up and down. I really hoped she and Joel were back together.”

A third said: ‘I saw her yesterday when she was broadcasting the Rose Parade with Al Roker.’

“Yes, I noticed that too and was waiting for her to make an announcement too,” wrote a fourth.

‘She seemed exceptionally dizzy this morning and I thought it might be because she was looking forward to her time off after next week.

“But then I saw the ring and wondered if there was something else going on.”

They continued, “Maybe she will make an announcement soon.

“It seemed like at one point she showed the ring and then suddenly realized that maybe she shouldn’t have done that yet, and from then on it looked like she was hiding her hand.”

Another confirmed the sighting, speculating, “Yes, she’s definitely wearing a ring!” Maybe she’ll make the announcement when everyone’s back on air together!’

Hoda first started her relationship with Joel in 2013 and in November 2019, she announced live on Today that they were engaged.

But on January 31, 2022, Hoda revealed on Today with Hoda & Jenna that she and Joel had decided to end their engagement and would focus on co-parenting as friends.

The couple split for good in 2022, with Hoda saying they weren’t “in sync.”

When she announced their divorce, she insisted there was no bad blood between them and said they were “better as friends and as parents.”

“Joel and I had a lot of prayers and meaningful conversations over the holidays and decided that we are better as friends and parents than as an engaged couple,” the talk show host said.

‘So we have decided that we will start this new year on our new path as loving parents to our admirably sweet children and as friends.

“It’s not like anything happened. They say sometimes relationships are meant to last a reason, a season or a lifetime, this was for a season.’

Last month, Hoda and Joel reunited to celebrate Christmas with their daughters.

Hoda previously shared her holiday plans and revealed that Joel is still involved in the big day.

“For us, our Christmas isn’t big because it’s me, my kids, my mom, my sister Joel,” she said during the Dec. 24 episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna, which was pre-filmed.

“We come together,” she continued. ‘That’s the group, and it’s really just a nice Christmas.

“So tonight we’re putting out cookies for Santa and carrots. He always seems to like the cookies better.”
