Hoda Kotb shares rare glimpse into her Long Island beach house as the Today host celebrates her 60th birthday with her daughters and her mom
Hoda Kotb shared a series of snaps from her 60th birthday on Friday morning, as she opened presents with her family and enjoyed a day off at her beautiful Long Island beach house.
The Today presenter, who recently reunited with her daughters after being in Paris to cover the 2024 Olympics, looked happy and relaxed as she celebrated her big birthday with her daughters, Haley, seven, and Hope, four.
The first photo shows an excited Hoda holding up a present she just unwrapped. It appears to be three separate necklaces, as Hope and Haley look at her in admiration, their hands on her legs.
Hoda, a mother of two, wore casual blue shorts and a loose T-shirt, surrounded by balloons and sitting in what appeared to be her mother’s walker at the wooden dining table.
In a second photo, Hope stood at the same rectangular table, holding a bunch of balloons. In the background, two clocks hung on the wall, one showing American time and the other showing Paris time.

The TV star was joined on her very special day by her mother, Sameha, and her brother, Adel
Hoda clearly set this up so that her daughters would always know what time it was while she was working in France. She also has a handwritten schedule for the Olympics so that her daughters could watch it at home.
In addition to a calendar balanced on the wooden floor, Hoda also has a piece of art hanging on the wall and a sign that reads, “Point Lookout New York.”
It’s unclear exactly where on Long Island her home is located, but it appears to be close to the water. Hoda’s massive glass back doors open onto a deck and steps leading down to the beach.
The property appears to be decorated in neutral tones with a large cream sofa, white staircase and matching walls.
Hoda’s countertops are decorated with picture frames, no doubt filled with family photos. She also has a number of hand-drawn drawings by her daughters taped to the glass doors. These are clearly visible in a photo of the girls snuggling up to their grandmother, Hoda’s mother Sameha.
The last photo of the post, captioned, “Amazing birthday morning!! What a lucky girl xoxoxo,” also featured Hoda’s brother Adel and another female relative.
Hoda’s 2.5 million followers were quick to respond to the post, sending their well-wishes. One person wrote, “Happy 60th birthday. I hope you have a magical day!” and another said, “Happy birthday to the best in town!!! I hope it’s as awesome as you are!”
A third commented: ‘Happy birthday Hoda! Have fun celebrating your birthday with your beautiful family,’ and a fourth added: ‘Happy birthday to one of the best people alive!!’
Her NBC colleague Jacob Soboroff commented, “Happy Birthday!” and Maria Schriver wrote, “Happy, happy, my friend, sending you lots of love.”
Hoda’s Today cohost Al Roker posted a montage video featuring photos of their collaboration over the years, writing, “How can you not smile when you’re with @hodakotb. Happy birthday to someone who shared laughter, tears, and so much more. Love you.”
The Today Show’s official Instagram page also paid tribute to Hoda with several photos of the TV star, captioned, “Happy 60th Birthday to our favorite hacker enthusiast and America’s cheerleader, @hodakotb!
“We love you so much and can’t wait to celebrate you. Don’t miss Hoda’s 60th Birthday Party, live on the Plaza, Monday, August 12th!”
In recent years, Hoda has often said that her life has gotten better as she has gotten older, and she certainly hasn’t worried about reaching the top 60.

About her birthday last year, she said on Today with Hoda & Jenna, “Here’s a great thing I realized: I turned 59 this year, and I’m so happy to be 59 this year.
“I feel so good about it,” she admitted. “If you’re worried about getting older, and I know getting older is a thing, 59 is great.”
Hoda recalled closing her eyes to reflect on what life had given her, saying, “I thought to myself, ‘I’m 59 years old. I have two incredible children, I have my mother here, my sister, my brother, my nieces, my sister-in-law,’ and I kept thinking to myself, ‘I smile. I close my eyes and I smile.’
“And when you do that, you know there’s a lot of good things ahead. I have a feeling this year is going to be amazing.”
