Inside horrific hoarder house on plush San Diego street where residents have been fighting for a DECADE to get neighbor from hell’s ‘dangerous’ property filled with mountains of trash, rats and rotting food cleaned up

Sickening footage reveals the inside of a hoarder’s home that has been plaguing an upscale San Diego street for a decade.

Investigators said they were shocked by Lisa Golden’s disgusting home, which was filled with garbage several feet high, rotting food and an infestation of rats.

“Words cannot adequately describe the condition of the main restroom,” city inspector Justin Welker added in court documents related to the ongoing dispute over the filthy property.

Golden was in civil court this week because her neighbors wanted a court-ordered cleanup of the rancid house, which they say they have been fighting for more than a decade.

When investigators entered the home during the ongoing legal battle, Welker said they were struck by the rancid odor of rotting food and mold.

He said there were signs of rat infestation throughout the house, and although the house had electricity, he could not tell if there was running water because the sinks and toilets were clogged by huge piles of garbage.

In the bathroom, he said that “words cannot adequately describe the horror scenes.”

“It was smeared with brown dirt and the stall floor was covered in trash, including about a dozen used toilet paper rolls and a pile of what appeared to be crumpled up used toilet paper,” Welker wrote.

“The odor of rotting food and mold was again present in the bathroom and master bedroom.”

Neighbors have said her overgrown backyard is more than just an eyesore, as it encroaches on their property and poses a fire hazard.

In his report, Welker found that the garden was a fire hazard because “dead palm fronds were piled and scattered on the walkways and ground and hung from tall palm trees overhanging adjacent properties.”

“The inground pool was partially filled with green water, suspected to be algae, which is a potential breeding ground for vectors such as mosquitoes,” he continued.

‘Several large, filled plastic bags were placed on some kind of platform or piece of furniture. Walkways were covered with lumber, logs, dried vegetation, plastic containers and other random items.

“Before we left, we noticed three dead rats on the ground directly behind Golden’s house.”

Neighbors say they have struggled to stop the hoarding for so long because Golden continues to delay legal proceedings.

A hearing was scheduled for Friday to decide whether to send a court-appointed receiver to clean up the property, but Golden asked for a postponement, claiming she could not get in touch with her attorney.

In response, prosecutors said it was just another delaying tactic CBS8 reported that she has often represented herself in other hearings.

Prosecutors added that when they contacted the man Golden said was her attorney, he claimed not to represent her.

“This case has gone on far too long and the circumstances are far too serious to allow it to continue,” said Deputy City Attorney David Miller.

Golden claimed during the hearing that she suffers from health and mental health issues.

One of Golden’s neighbors trying to clean up the filthy house, Eddie Mead, said: “The delays and the continuation are very disappointing.”

“This is the way she extends it month after month. Usually it’s appeal after appeal.’

Neighbors also accused Golden of harassing them for years, and CBS 8 reported that some had restraining orders against her.
