Historic and spacious three-bedroom home is up for sale at $1million – but it hides a secret

A spacious and historic three-bedroom property is expected to sell for at least $1 million, but the house harbors a secret that could put off potential buyers.

It sits on a huge 5,718m2 plot and is being sold on the estate after Mrs Anderson died in hospital on March 15, 2022 and Mr Anderson died in April 2023.

Polymiadis, from Craigmore in Adelaide’s north, is charged with two counts of murder over the deaths of her parents, who were each 94 years old when they died.

Devoutly religious Polymiadis, 62, who was known as a ‘pillar of the community’, is said to have used her own supply of insulin to commit the crimes.

She will only receive money from the sale of the house once her legal proceedings are completed, and then only if she is acquitted.

Polymiadis is said to have tried to make her father’s death look like suicide.

Last month, the South Australian court froze her quarter share of her parents’ assets, with orders preventing her from liquidating the assets or taking out loans against them.

The listing on realestate.com.au says the property has ‘exciting development potential in a high-profile location (subject to council approval)’, with three facades.

The 1900s house also comes with several outbuildings and aviaries.

According to the listing, it is a “business of rare size at this location” and is intended for both residential and non-residential uses.

Selling agent Mike Cross is confident potential buyers will not be put off by the media attention surrounding the property, saying Polymiadis’ process will have no impact on the sales process.

“That won’t affect sales at all, it will still continue as normal, that’s just something that will be determined afterwards,” he told the Advertiser.
