His mother a romantic comedy star, dad a movie icon – who is he?

His mother is America’s favorite romantic comedy, she has worked with Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise.

She is still active in Hollywood, but is making smaller films these days.

And his dad is a movie star who has thrived in dramas and action movies for decades, working with everyone from Lindsay Lohan and Julia Roberts to a very cute dog.

This young talent has had quite a nice career himself.

This youthful-looking actor, who likes to post quirky photos on Instagram, has spent years working on a Star Trek project.

Can you guess who this boy is?

He is 31-year-old Jack Quaid, son of Hollywood sweetheart Meg Ryan, 61, and actor Dennis Quaid.

His sister is Daisy True, a 19-year-old high school graduate.

He posted a charming photo wearing pink glasses and a red corduroy jacket in Los Angeles this week after being spotted with the cast of The Boys at LAX.

Jack is a successful actor in his own right. His first role was in 2012 in The Hunger Games, playing Marvel. He also popped up in the sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

In 2014, he played Dylan in Just Before I Go, followed by his starring role as Eric in 2015’s Running Wild.

He then made his mark on TV by starring as Kyle in Sasquatch Sketch Comedy from 2014 to 2015.

Several films followed: Ithaca (2015), Aberrant (2016), Tragedy Girls (2017), Rampage (2018) and Plus One (2019).

Jack has also provided his voice for two Batman cartoon projects.

He now stars as Bradward Boimler in the animated TV series Star Trek: Lower Decks.

Ryan is a powerful actress, with roles in Top Gun, The Doors, Sleepless In Seattle, and You’ve Got Mail.

She still works in Hollywood.

Last year, it was announced that Meg would be returning to the screen as she plans to star in and direct the upcoming film What Happens Later.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is an adaptation of Steven Dietz’ play Shooting Star.

The media outlet also revealed that the playwright co-wrote the screenplay with both Kirk Lynn and the actress herself.

The feature film is described by the filmmakers as an ‘evolved and nostalgic take on the romantic comedy’.

What Happens Later focuses on a former couple who investigate their romantic past while snowbound in an airport.

David Duchovny plays opposite Meg.

Father Dennis is from Texas.

He was born in 1954 and is known for a wide variety of dramatic and comedic roles.

Some of his notable achievements, which first gained widespread attention in the late 1970s, include Breaking Away (1979), The Right Stuff (1983), The Big Easy (1986).

Next came Innerspace (1987), Great Balls of Fire! (1989), Dragonheart (1996), The Parent Trap (1998).

He had a big hit with the disaster film The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and went on to appear in Good Company (2004), Yours, Mine & Ours (2005) and Vantage Point (2008).

For his role in Far from Heaven (2002), he won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actor, among others. The Guardian named him one of the best actors never to receive an Academy Award nomination.

He had a big hit with 2017’s A Dog’s Purpose.

Meg also has a daughter.

Daisy was born in China in 2004 and was adopted by the actress at the age of 14.

Ryan raised Daisy as a single mother in New York City after her high-profile 2001 divorce from movie star Dennis Quaid, 69, who is best known for the films The Parent Trap, The Day After Tomorrow, and A Dog’s Purpose.

The only father Daisy might have known was Meg’s on-again, off-again boyfriend, 71-year-old rock star John Mellencamp.

The stars started dating in November 2010 and stayed together for four years before breaking up in August 2014. However, they got back together before the end of that year. Then they broke up again.

Daisy went to school in Lower Manhattan and was often seen in public with her mother walking down the street.

The teen was last seen at an event with Meg in July 2019 when they sat in the front row at the Schiaparelli fashion show in Paris during Paris Fashion Week.

Meg told Redbook magazine that Daisy was an easy kid.

Daisy doesn’t feel hard. She’s not in the mood… there’s no sweat on it, man,” she told the magazine.

‘She can hang well, and she’s easy. She is very smart and she is very generous. I love that she is funny. I love that.

“I just can’t imagine what it was like before she came. Life is good, it’s so good with her in it. She and Jack get along well. We all fit together beautifully.’

Meg shared in that same interview that Daisy was randomly assigned to her, according to China’s adoption process.

But she feels it was fate.

“I am convinced, completely convinced that there was nothing arbitrary about it. She’s the daughter I should have,’ she said.

“I never felt like I was on a rescue mission or anything like that. I just really wanted a baby; I was on a mission to connect with someone, and Daisy and I got to know each other this way at this point,” the star said.

“We’re so compatible. And also having the experience of having had Jack and now having Daisy in a different way – there is no difference in the love you feel.

The When Harry Met Sally… star also talked about being a single mother.

“I mean, Jack has his dad and they’re close, he always will be. But if you’re the only one in the house with the kids, you’re the one in charge. You are the one who makes the rules. There is no stress because you and another adult disagree about how you want to raise your children,” she said.
