HIMSCast: How genAI can reinvent the work of doctors

Many healthcare IT leaders at hospitals and healthcare systems as well as technology companies say generative artificial intelligence – the kind most associated with the mega-popular ChatGPT – is a game changer for healthcare provider organizations. It can do things that are unlike any previous technology.

It can serve administrative and clinical purposes. To date, most of the applications of genAI in healthcare have been on the administrative side, with CIOs, CMOs, CNOs and other leaders being cautious about dipping their toes into clinical waters.

But somehow, genAI can save doctors time – and a lot of it. That could significantly change the way they work for the better, says Brian P. Kalis, head of Accenture Health Strategy.

Our HIMSCast this week focuses on how genAI and other technologies can reinvent the way doctors work. Our guest, Kalis, from consulting giant Accenture, is an expert in this field.
