A viral sighting of Bigfoot, a mythical sasquatch-like creature, in the woods of Oklahoma sent the internet into meltdown this week, with viewers calling it the “best evidence yet” that the elusive creature exists.
But the truth behind the images – which have been viewed more than seven million times – will leave many disappointed.
It turns out that the footage captured a Bigfoot Head Shop employee dressed in a costume for a promotional stunt for the store.
The sighting, posted on social media, has rocked the internet, with many speculating about the validity of the viral video, with some claiming they “completely believe this is real.”
The nearly ten-second clip shows the furry, humanoid creature standing against a tree in the Parallel Forest in Lawton, munching on a green branch, before spotting an onlooker peering through the tree lines.

The onlooker fled the scene in fear and haste before posting the ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ encounter on TikTok and captioning the video: ‘The scariest moment of my life and I honestly think I caught Bigfoot on camera in Parallel Forest. ‘
‘I was just looking around enjoying the day and saw something in the distance. I’m still shaking as I type this,” the user added.
The incredible sighting has since been declared a hoax by a prankster looking to capitalize on the ongoing fascination with the yeti-like icon.
Another video, taken from the same teaser, but this time posted to Facebook, shows a different angle of the big, furry beast emerging from the trees and singing and dancing to DJ Snake’s “Turn Down for What.”
The second clip is headlined “FULL BIGFOOT VIDEO” and ends with an image for Bigfoot Head Shop – apparently an advertisement for the Oklahoma-based company.
Blake Younger, 37, the man under the costume, also an employee of the store, declined DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

Although the real Bigfoot has not yet been completely caught, the elusive creature, born from a combination of indigenous legends, European folklore and modern American reporting, remains a cultural icon and mystery waiting to be solved.
