Hilarious moment Oregon meteorologist is interrupted by colleague during live broadcast

  • A woman stepped on screen, derailing the segment into fits of laughter

A meteorologist was giving a smooth, rehearsed warning to Oregonians to beware of cold water when a colleague accidentally walked right into the picture.

Katie Zuniga, who has been with Fox 12 Oregon since January 2023, smiled and laughed as her female colleague strolled absently into the camera’s crosshairs.

The woman wearing a green shirt realized her mistake and walked back awkwardly while giggling.

The entire newsroom laughs for seconds and the woman who derailed the segment says, “Sorry!” several times after the hilarious accident.

However, Zuniga just smiled and noted that she could not recover immediately.

“I know I need to recover, but that was really fun,” she said, putting her hand over her mouth to stifle more laughter.

The woman who was in the way of the weather report can then be heard saying off camera, “Oh my god, I’m leaving now.”

But Zuniga, despite not being able to immediately get back to the topic of the segment when the interruption first occurred, ended the show strong.

After a fit of laughter, she once again reminded her audience of the cold waters in Oregon: “So like I said, bring a life jacket, bring a friend, but remember, those waters are so very, very cold right now.” .’

Fox 12 Oregon posted the clip to X on Saturday with three laughing emojis.
