Hilarious moment Kyle Sandilands leaks text messages from his famous friends live with an awkward message from Brittany Hockley, after he and Jackie O headlined the radio poll

Kyle Sandilands hilariously leaked some of the celebrity text messages he received this week, after topping radio poll and podcast charts.

The KIIS FM star, 51, said on Friday he was inundated with congratulatory messages after the big news.

Kyle said friends like John Ibrahim and Ben Fordham reached out before reading a lengthy piece by Alan Jones and impersonating him.

Kyle also awkwardly read a text from former Bachelor star Brittany Hockley, which was for reference, rather than congratulating him and Jackie O.

“I got a lot of calls when grades came in…all day I was upset,” Kyle said.

His text from Alan Jones read: “Hi Kyle, this is Alan Jones, congratulations on your success… is this your number Kyle?”

Kyle said Alan followed up with him again as he didn’t “respond immediately.”

‘Congratulations to you and Jackie O, you’ve worked hard for this. Enjoy it and keep it up.

Kyle said he answered and then Alan followed.

“He replies, ‘yeah, I’m fine, thanks for asking, I suspect by the end of today, you may not be.’ Go ahead my friend, you’ve earned it. Radio is about information and entertainment, that’s why they listen to it. Again, good man, well done.

Kyle said that Brittany Hockley “wanted a reference” from him as she had been nominated for a media award, but dismissed it when she realized she read it out loud on air.

Kyle said on air Thursday: ‘We’ve broken another record. It’s almost embarrassing. Guinness doesn’t even take our calls. They’re like, “Not another record!”

‘Kyle and Jackie O’s radio show has the highest market share of our entire airplay record. We have eclipsed Ben Fordham, he is dead. We’re at a 15.9 percent stake and I can feel the blood rushing through my penis now. That’s how excited I am.

Jackie added: ‘Thank you to everyone who listens to the show, we couldn’t do this without you.

“Our listeners are very loyal, and the fact that they continue to grow is humbling.”

The exciting news came just one day after Kyle and Jackie O dominated the official Australian podcast rankings.

His podcast climbed two spots to number one, a feat never before achieved by a catch-up radio show.
