Hilarious moment a VERY dramatic flying squirrel fakes his own death
Give that rodent an Oscar! Watch a VERY dramatic flying squirrel fake his own death – even creating a crime scene with a broom
A flying squirrel who faked his death and staged a crime scene for its owner to find him has been lauded on social media for his Oscar-worthy theatrical performances.
A viral clip, believed to have been filmed in Thailand, shows every stage of the rodent’s suspenseful drama as it plots its own devastating kill.
First, he walks over to a broom and dustpan, before sensationally dropping the cleaning tool as he reclines on the floor.
Realizing that the broom didn’t land as a convincing murder weapon, the four-legged thespian decides to head in a different direction.
Nestled under the dropped object, the squirrel brainstorms different positions as it aligns the brush over its body.

It opts for a bold and dramatic placement across its chest – arms spread – waiting to be explored.
Occasionally, the creature can be seen breaking character to see if anyone has noticed its excitement.
User @BirrelleBee from Canada shared the clip, which was originally thought to have been uploaded on June 3 by an unknown poster – or rather a director – from Thailand.
The repost has racked up over 21 million views, leaving the public in the lurch.
“I love how he checks to make sure they’re still there,” one wrote.
“THIS IS SO GOOD LMAO, I WANT ONE NOW,” praised a second.
Elsewhere, a satisfied viewer commented, “Haha – no way! “It fell on me, and I died.”‘
“He keeps checking whether there are still people or not and has also changed the position of the murder weapon several times,” another movie buff noted.

It’s possible that the talented, furry actor is a red giant flying squirrel, known to be found all over Southeast Asia.
Like other flying squirrels, these chunky rodents are known for their gliding ability and are largely nocturnal.
And it’s perhaps no wonder the animal has a penchant for the dramatic.
The squirrel is sometimes known for a loud wail and whine that it roars around dusk.
