Hilarie Burton Morgan tries to stop a young woman who is allegedly posing as her 14-year-old son Gus on TikTok and YouTube.
The One Tree Hill star, 42, posted a screenshot of the offensive TikTok profile @AugustusDeanMorgan on Instagram and explained what was going on in the caption.
“Hi gang. I need some help,” she began, “I don’t have TikTok and neither does our son. But there’s this creepy girl who’s obsessed with him and is constantly creating profiles on different platforms.”
She joked, “I get it. He’s great, but she’s a freak for stealing a fourteen-year-old boy’s identity.”
She asked her followers who have TikTok to report the account before adding that she had contacted the perpetrator’s parents, her directly and the police.

‘“By some of the actions she has taken, she has broken the law,” the mother of two added.
Burton and her husband, The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, 58, also have a six-year-old daughter named George.
Later, Burton edited her post to share that the TikTok account had been deleted.
She added: “But it linked to a YouTube account where she also pretended to be Gus. Her name is now clearly on that YouTube account.”
Burton then addressed the woman directly, writing, “I see H*****. I called the campus police. I contacted your mother’s church. I’m not hanging around.’
Jeffrey Dean Morgan commented on the post and supported his wife.
“Damn people. get a life. preferably yours, but certainly NOT our children. if not… prepare for Morgan’s wrath, which I promise is no joke. side note…IT’S A COOL FLIP PHONE.’
The laws about online impersonation are fairly new and vary from state to state, but generally speaking, impersonating someone else is considered a criminal offense.

Burton’s followers agreed that the situation was “disturbing.” In the comments, someone wrote: ‘Imitating a child is a whole new level of insanity.’
The post comes just a few days after Burton shared a photo with Jeffrey on Instagram, where they chaperoned one of Gus’ school dances.
“I had the most exciting Homecoming Date at the dance tonight,” her caption began.
Thanks for helping your nerdy wife chaperone @jeffreydeanmorgan. You’re a catch!’
