Promising Everton defender Kenzie Weir joined Lewes Championship on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 19-year-old signed her first professional contract in August after making her senior FA Cup debut in January 2022.
Weir, who is the daughter of former Everton and Scotland defender David, is highly valued by the Toffee staff.
The youngster made her Scotland under-19 debut in 2021 and has continued to progress, but now hopes a short-term move to the Championship will give her more playing time.
“I’m very happy, it’s been quite fast, but I’m really looking forward to it,” Weir said of the loan.

Lewes are currently sixth in the Championship and have progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
