A California student with special needs has criticized her high school after teachers reportedly labeled her “bigorous” and “homophobic” for refusing to learn about lesbian sex.

Thelma Gonzalez, a student at Glendale High School, was enrolled in a health and relationships course by her mother Marina Vivar.

Vivar specifically checked a box that exempted her daughter from learning “anything LGBTQ+ or about sexual acts that were homosexual in nature.”

She says this was not respected and she was taught about lesbian sex practices, including scissoring and using female condoms.

Gonzalez also told the board meeting that she got into trouble at school after refusing to change because there was a male teacher in the locker room.

After her daughter reportedly said she shouldn’t be taught this, Vivar claims her daughter was called “bigorous, bigoted and homophobic.”

Speaking to Glendale City Council on Tuesday, Vivar said, “My daughter has learned to act like scissors.

‘When my daughter indicated that she should not be in these classes, she was labeled a bigot, intolerant and homophobe by her teacher.

‘These are all terms she didn’t know, they don’t exist in our vocabulary at home.

“She simply said it goes against her morals because of her Christian beliefs. At that point, an employee told her to look at her skin color.’

Gonzalez also told the city council, “I once had trouble in the girls’ locker room because I didn’t dress properly in front of other people.

“There are male teachers in the girls’ locker room. I was scared, I was terrified, because I was afraid that a grown man would stare at me while I was changing.’

An investigation was conducted by director Benjamin Wolf and concluded that nothing happened.

Glendale High Communications Director Kristine Nam shared Fox News digital“The lesson Ms. Vivar is referring to was a general health textbook lesson about making healthy decisions in your relationships.”

“The teacher has asked Ms. Vivar’s daughter not to make inappropriate comments in response to a reference to LGBTQ+ relationships”

“We investigated the interaction and found no evidence of inappropriate comments [for instance, referring to the student as a ‘bigot’] were used by the teacher. We will continue to investigate it thoroughly,’
