A high-profile Rebels cycling member has been arrested in Sydney’s west as part of a major police operation against an alleged drug syndicate.
Notorious Rebels cyclist Matthew Rymer was arrested by NSW Police at his home near Penrith on Wednesday.
Detectives from the Strike Force, along with officers from the Tactical Operations Unit, attended Rymer’s home in Cranebrook at around 10.50am.
Officers searched the 40-year-old’s home with a seized mobile phone and 30kg of MDMA, with a street value of just under $1 million.
Rymer, who once held the title of Penrith Chapter president, was one of three men arrested after organized crime officers raided several properties.

The 40-year-old has long been a high-ranking member of the Rebels motorcycle gang and previously held the title of president of the Penrith Chapter.
Rymer was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with four counts of supplying prohibited drugs including large commercial quantities, manufacturing prohibited drugs, commercial quantities and knowingly directing the activities of a criminal group.
He was refused bail and will appear at Penrith Local Court on Thursday.
It is understood police seized 96kg of drugs during Wednesday’s raids.
