High profile Channel Nine news reporter reveals new career after quitting TV job – and you will never see it coming

A former Channel Nine reporter has swapped her lucrative TV career for a life on safari, opening a holiday resort in East Africa.

Carrie Greenbank was Network Nine’s European correspondent for almost four years until she left the broadcaster earlier this year amid mass redundancies.

She has now announced on Instagram that she is hosting a ‘photo safari’ in Kenya with her partner Dr. John Haskew. Mlima house.

Carrie’s other half, a wildlife photographer and documentary filmmaker, built the estate on the edge of the Masaai Mara National Reserve.

Carrie shared a selfie of the loved-up couple as they posed in Africa, writing, “Hello from the Masai Mara.

Photographers and nature lovers can rent one of the three large en-suite bedrooms at Mlima Cottage for USD$250 (AUD$384.80) per night, per person.

Or they can rent the entire house exclusively for USD$1,400 (AUD$2,154.89) per night.

Mlima’s website states that Carrie and her partner ‘work with local Maasai safari guides who are very knowledgeable and sought after in the Mara’.

These guides can take photographers on day-long safaris, both on and off the beaten track, allowing plenty of flexibility to capture those prized wildlife photos.

Carrie, who worked in TV news for 16 years, left Nine Network in June this year after becoming their European correspondent in 2021, it was reported TV Tonight.

Carrie, the twin sister of ABC investigative journalist Amy Greenbank, began her career at WIN News in Queensland.

In the following years she went on to work in Nine’s newsrooms in Gold Coast, Brisbane and Melbourne.

In 2021, Carrie took on a role at Nine’s London Bureau, where she reported on the deaths of the Queen and Prince Philip, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the war between Israel and Hamas.

Carrie’s incredible work in the industry has earned her a Melbourne Press Club Quill and a Walkley nomination.
