A senior member of Hibernian management has resigned amid allegations of ‘inappropriate behaviour’.
Director of Football Operations Derek White left the club last month.
The former Livingston company secretary, previously head of football operations at Easter Road, was only given a change in job title in September.
Mail Sport previously approached Hibernian to clarify information claiming White had left the club over a disciplinary matter.
Although the club only said that the 24-year-old had resigned from his position – which oversaw administrative and logistics functions – they have now confirmed that White resigned following allegations of inappropriate behavior towards a young male player over the age of 18 at the club. to light.
Following an internal investigation, Hibernian says they have contacted the SFA and Disclosure Scotland with details of the episode.

A club spokesperson said: ‘The club can confirm that Derek White has resigned from his role at Hibernian FC while an internal investigation into his conduct was ongoing.
‘Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation, details remain confidential.
“The club has notified the relevant authorities and organizations in accordance with our strict safeguarding procedures.”
Mail Sport understands that the Scottish FA has been in discussions with Hibernian’s child welfare officer to establish that White was not in regulated work or a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) programme.
The governing body is also assured that no harm has been caused to a minor.
Disclosure Scotland is responsible for protecting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults across Scotland, but declined to comment on an individual case.
There is a legal obligation for organizations to refer employees within three months if they have been dismissed or would have been dismissed for conduct that is considered to cause harm or potential harm to children or protected adults.
White did not respond when contacted by Mail Sport.
