He’s still The Dude 25 years later! Jeff Bridges reunites with Big Lebowski’s friend John Goodman and thanks her wife of 48 years by receiving a Critics’ Choice Award for Lifetime Achievement after her battle with cancer.
The Dude and his bowling partner Walter were reunited after 25 years when John Goodman presented Jeff Bridges with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 Critics’ Choice Awards.
Goodman, 70, gave a heartfelt speech about his old friend before presenting the award to Goldman, 73.
Goodman revealed all the “comradery and friendship” they felt behind the scenes translated to the screen, “all thanks to Jeff.”

“He was so engaged and delivering his hilarious ‘Dude-isms’ so easily that no one knew where Jeff ended and the guy began,” Goodman said, adding that he “continues to play such a wide variety of characters and tends to lose himself in all of them, before a pack of clips was shown and Bridges took the stage to accept his award.
‘Thank you John! Thanks John. Thank you critics. The guy, from Lebowski, I’d say, this is like your opinion, man,” Bridges joked.
She added that today was the birthday of her father, Lloyd Bridges (who passed away in 1998 at age 85), and that she “wouldn’t be here without my dad.” He is the reason I am here.

‘He said Jeff, don’t be ridiculous. Being an actor, you’re going to be asked to do all those things that interest you. On top of that, you get to tell all these wonderful stories from all these different perspectives, people who are alive,” Bridges added.
‘This is a wonderful profession. He is so right. I’m so glad I heard it. The family I grew up in was very supportive. My mother, some of you might have known her, she was the best actress of the bunch,’ she said of her mother, Dorothy Bridges,
