The helpful neighbor said: I was in a deep sleep. I don't even know how I woke up at half past one in the morning. That's nothing more than God helping me save her life. I truly believe I saved her and that little boy's life.
The helpful neighbor said, “He meant it. He tried to get them.
'I'm glad I woke up to save her and her child because there's no telling what he would have done. She [the mother] looked back and saw him and then we ran inside.
'Her son came across [the house]. There was nothing I could do but lock the door.
'He had run forward and tried to kick the door but then he started knocking. Then he probably heard my friend's voice.
