Rihanna’s son’s name was finally revealed to be RZA – after the star kept it a secret for over a year.
DailyMail.com has exclusively obtained a copy of the little boy’s birth certificate, which reveals his name is RZA Athelston Mayers.
The tot – which Rihanna shares with A$AP Rocky – was apparently named in honor of producer and rapper RZA, the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan.
While fans may think her son’s name is simply pronounced by reciting the letters RZA, it is actually pronounced “Rizza” like the famous rapper.
Rihanna – who is pregnant with her second child – appears to have hinted at her son’s name following his birth on May 13 last year, as she has worn clothing reflecting the Wu-Tang Clan several times since giving birth.

Notably, the live birth certificate indicates that RZA was given his father’s middle name, Athelston.
However, Rocky’s middle name has previously been listed as “Athelaston” by multiple outlets.
The live birth certificate also indicates that RZA was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
One of Rihanna’s recent hints about her son’s secret name was on April 5, when she sported the radiant boy while wearing a baggy black Wu-Tang Clan top when she was spotted leaving a meal at Giorgio Baldi’s in Santa Monica .
The Umbrella singer wasn’t particularly subtle on August 12 last year, nearly three months after giving birth, when she stepped out in a baggy white RZA T-shirt in New York City.
The extent of Rihanna’s fandom for RZA and the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan isn’t entirely clear.
However, her partner Rocky is definitely a fan as he previously collaborated with the rap group’s Raekwon on the 2015 song Fly International Luxurious Art.
A$AP Mob, the collective to which Rocky belongs, earned comparisons to the legendary hip-hop group early on in its existence.

During her stunning performance at the Met Gala with her boyfriend, Rihanna shared with ET that her latest pregnancy was “so different” from the first.
‘No appetite. Tons of nausea. Everything is different, but I enjoy it,” she explained.
She added that she was “in love” with her smallest. “I’m obsessed and I don’t even feel guilty about it,” she said.
