If you want campy looking gun glamor and cute henchmen, you’ll definitely want to join in. Free trial users can participate in the Yo-kai Watch event. To complete the full event, you will need access to at least one event Stormblood area.
Before you start, know that this is a great event to do while giving your best An empire reborn Zodiac relic weapon or Shadowbringers relic weapon. While doing both, you’ll have to perform a lot of FATEs, so you can kill two birds with one stone if you want.
Go into that too there are no Sage or Reaper weapons for this event. There are only weapons for the jobs that have been released so far Shadowbringers. 🙁 The only new reward for this event since the last run is the framer’s kit.
Below we explain how to use the FFXIV Yo-kai Check out the event and how to grind FATEs quickly. We also provide a gallery of what all the rewards look like.

How to edit FATEs quickly
Note that you can keep both minions out while the watch is equipped to get both Yo-kai Medals and Legendary Medals. There’s really no reason to take off your watch while FATE is grinding until you’ve gotten all the Yo-kai medals you want.
Also make sure to check out the FATE section of partyfinder as there are quite a few groups always looking for more people to help hand out medals.
The Blue Mage FATE farm technique
The best way to quickly take out a FATE is to use Blue Magician. You can use the skill “Rocket ship‘to do 50% of most An empire reborn HP of FATE bosses, causing these FATEs to drop very quickly.
You can also use the Blue Mage instadeath combo to quickly take out non-boss enemies. Usage “Hydropull‘to draw all enemies to you,’The voice of Aries‘ to freeze the enemies around you, and then ‘Ultravibration‘ to instantly kill all frozen enemies around you. With a party full of Blue Mages you can clear a LOT fast.
If you don’t already own Blue Mage or have the skills, here’s a quick overview of how to get the limited job and the skills we’ve listed:
- Unlock BLU by pressing the “Diligent Yellowjacket‘NPC in Limsa Lominsa lower decks to start and complete the quest ‘Out of the Blue’.
- Learn “Rocket” from Enkiduwho is in the process “Battle in the Great Keep.”
- Learn “The Ram’s Voice” from the Chimera boss in the dungeon “Cutter’s scream.”
- Learn “Hydropull” from the Kelpie boss in the dungeon”The drowned city of Skalla.”
- Learn “Ultravibration” from the Kongamato enemies inside The peaks (around 13, 26).
Remember that you have to let the enemy cast the spell First and then you can kill them to possibly learn the skill. There is no guaranteed drop unless you sync the content level or in a completely pre-made party.
“Hydropull” and “Ultravibration” require both Stormblood the main story must be completed up to a certain point, while “Cutter’s Cry” is unlocked from the side mission “Shame before death.” “Battle in the Big Keep” unlocks from a Hildebrand mission, “Her lost vow.” If you’ve never done Hildebrand missions before, you should start at “The Rise and Fall of Gentlemen‘ in Ul’dah.
That said, you don’t really have to do any of this. This is simply the most efficient FATE farming technique, and if your Blue Mage isn’t leveled or you don’t want to do all that unlocking, you should just join FATEs as your job of choice and whack things until they die. You’ll still get medals, but the clear won’t be as fast.
