Drivers have taken to TikTok to reveal incredible hacks for keeping your car clean and tidy – and they cost just £5.
A TikTok user, @maizimmy, posted a video complaining about the dirt and trash left in her vehicle by her kids.
She pointed out that a small trash can quickly overflows and her passengers would end up using the floor to deposit their trash anyway.
So she suggested a solution: buy a large trash can and Velcro it to the car door next to the passenger seat.
The 44-second clip has been widely shared and liked more than 28,000 on the social media platform.

She says, “The mess in my car is starting to annoy me. I have a tiny little trash can here, and it actually fits two water bottles.
‘Once it’s full, the floor becomes the trash and I don’t want that anymore.
“I’ll get a full-size trash can and some Velcro — let’s use industrial strength to make sure it stays upright.”
“I can’t hang garbage bags from the backseat either. I have three car seats here and I don’t think my little guys who sit in the corner want garbage on their laps.
“Remove the old garbage can and Velcro the new one here. This is going to be so much better than using my floor, and passengers will still have plenty of legroom.
“This is Velcro on the side and we can untie it if we need to empty it.”
Another TikTok user, @cleaning_at83, shared her tips for getting your car’s interior professionally cleaned.
On TikTok by Laura Williams you can see how a car cleaning spray is applied to the car’s gearbox.
She then takes a paintbrush to get into the little holes and crevices to get the “stuck crumbs in the sides and corners, keeping it squeaky clean.”
However, you may need to vacuum the area again afterwards, as the brush moves crumbs around the car.
