Hercules star Kevin Sorbo, 65, brands Hollywood men ‘bumbling idiots’ and claims feminists are forcing males to be ‘wussies’: ‘We normalise androgyny and misunderstand masculinity

Kevin Sorbo has labeled Hollywood men as ‘bumbling, useless idiots’ with a ‘misunderstanding of masculinity’.

The Hercules: The Legendary Journeys actor, 65, who claimed to have been shunned by Hollywood last month for his conservative views, wrote a controversial new essay for Fox News, in which he exuded ‘woke Hollywood’.

Taking particular aim at Timothée Chalamet, 27, and Billy Porter, 54, the star, who proudly noted that he rose to fame playing a Greek demigod, labeled fashion’s current penchant for androgyny “the masculinity crisis.”

In his attack on the modern man, he also emphasized that feminists have “won” when men “give in to their basic desires” such as drink, drugs, video games and porn.

He wrote, “It doesn’t really matter which side of the masculinity spectrum you fall on; if you are a victim of your own base desires, feminist culture has won. You’re exactly the kind of dorky guy they (think they) want you to be.”

Not for me: his new op-ed on masculinity is sure to cause a stir thanks to his personal attacks on beloved Hollywood and fashion enthusiasts Timothée (pictured last September) and Billy

Kevin rose to fame starring as the titular character in Hercules in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys from 1995 to 1999, and as Captain Dylan Hunt in Andromeda from 2000 to 2005. He also starred in Xena: Warrior Princess.

In recent years he has been an avid propagator of Christian beliefs and conservative views – something he believes led to his ‘cancellation’.

His new op-ed on masculinity is sure to cause a stir thanks to his personal attacks on beloved Hollywood actors and fashion enthusiasts Timothée and Billy.

Of their androgynous style, he wrote: ‘Today’s society seriously misunderstands masculinity… On the one hand, we like to normalize androgynous, Billy Porter-esque men who wear skirts and poofy dresses…

“For example, GQ’s Best Dressed Man of 2019, Timothée Chalamet, often wears clothes that your grandfather wouldn’t have caught dead dressed as Chalamet.”

He continued, “Everywhere we look, there are bold, confident, self-assured women standing on the stage of passive men quietly fading into the background…

‘To the basement. In the past, fathers in particular have become the target of every woke Hollywood jab, the bumbling, useless idiots who contribute nothing to their families or communities but sacrifice themselves as objects of ridicule.”

Kevin claimed that Hollywood’s depictions of men characterize: “The brutal man who only abuses his power and makes a mockery of masculinity.”

Shockingly, in recent years he has been an avid propagator of Christian beliefs and conservative views – something he claims led to his ‘cancellation’

His new essay comes a month after Kevin said in an interview on Fox News that he was ousted by Hollywood because of his conservative views and Christian beliefs.

The native Minnesotan claimed he and his agent split after the Andromeda star was “blacklisted.”

He said: ‘It was sad for me, you know, my manager and agent said for so many years that we can’t get you any more jobs, can’t work with you anymore because you’re a Christian, a conservative…

“We have such a huge divide in our country right now, and it’s perpetuated by mainstream media, perpetuated by movies and TV.”
