‘Her face basically collapsed’: Hear Joran van der Sloot cooly explain how he battered Natalee Holloway to death after ‘she kneed me in the crotch’ when he kept ‘feeling her up’ in chilling confession

The casual audio confession of Joran van der Sloot, who admitted to killing Natalee Holloway in 2005 after they met at a bar in Aruba, has been released.

Dutch Van Der Sloot, 36, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in Birmingham, Alabama, after pleading guilty to racketeering and wire fraud in a plea deal.

During the deal, he agreed to reveal what happened to Natalee – who was 18 when she disappeared – in a case that has captured the country’s attention for two decades.

Now a court has released the terrifying 3 minute and 45 second clip of the killer calmly admitting his horrific crime – as he watched Holloway’s face ‘collapse’.

For the first time, the audience can hear Van Der Sloot’s emotionless voice as he confesses: ‘I’m starting to feel her again and she says no. She says she doesn’t want me to feel her. I insist.

‘I keep feeling her no matter what. Finally she knees me in the groin. When she knees me in the crotch, I get up and kick her extremely hard in the face.

‘She lies unconscious, possibly even dead, but certainly unconscious. And I see that there is a huge concrete block on the beach right next to her.’

The Dutch national admitted to beating Natalee to death on a beach after she rejected his advances and placed her corpse in the Caribbean before walking home.

Five years after the murder, an FBI operation recorded the extortion attempt in which Van der Sloot asked Beth Holloway for $250,000 to reveal the location of her daughter’s remains.

He agreed to accept $25,000 to reveal the location, and asked for the remaining $225,000 once the remains were recovered.

In an interview by his lawyer, the killer, who had always denied killing Natalee, gave details of the last moments of the teenager’s life.

The Dutchman was extradited for sentencing in the US from Peru, where he is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for the murder of Stephany Flores, whom he smothered to death in a hotel room in 2010.

He will be returned to Lima and his sentence will run concurrently.

Natalee Holloway’s mother Beth has laid bare the depths of her ‘extreme emotional loss and grief’ in a heartbreaking victim impact statement.

Beth made her statement, obtained in full by DailyMail.com, when Joran Van der Sloot finally confessed in court to killing Natalee in 2005.

And in an extraordinary show of compassion, the mother of the murdered high school student revealed that she has wondered for years about the “grief” the killer’s mother herself experienced.

“I have wondered over the years the grief YOUR mother experienced. “I’ve thought about how you destroyed her life, the lives of your brothers, your grandmothers and everyone around you,” she said.

Beth then asked Van der Sloot, who fathered a nine-year-old girl while in prison in Peru, “And what about your daughter?”

“Imagine that one day you get the call that your daughter has disappeared, and years later you find out that a big bully who forced himself on her didn’t get what he wanted and therefore violently murdered her. Imagine that.’

She speculated, “I was wondering if the stress you caused your father Paulus contributed to his heart attack and sudden death. You are responsible for all their suffering.”

Paulus van der Sloot died of a heart attack at the age of 57 while playing tennis in February 2010. His wife Anita then revealed that Joran blamed himself for the unexpected death of his father.

The lawyer had repeatedly tried to protect his son despite intense suspicion and brutal scrutiny following Natalee’s death.

In the written statement read out in court by Beth, she said: ‘Extreme emotional loss and pain truly cannot be understood by those who have not experienced a devastating tragedy such as ours, and I have also suffered great professional and financial loss. ‘

The grieving mother moved to Aruba after her daughter’s death in a desperate attempt to find out what had become of her.

Today she revealed that as a result she lost her teaching license and tenure and had to go back to school to have her license reinstated.

She added, “Since 2010, when you extorted me and attempted to sell her remains to me, I have incurred attorney and investigation fees totaling approximately $215,000.”

Natalee, who was killed just days after graduating from high school, would have celebrated her 37th birthday on Saturday if she were still alive.

She had aspirations of going to medical school and her mother revealed that she thinks about what kind of doctor she might have become.

She would, her mother imagined, have married and had children – her grandchildren.

“But you destroyed all of this,” Beth told Van der Sloot, “you ended her potential, her dreams and her possibilities when you bludgeoned her to death in 2005.”

Beth’s feelings were echoed in a letter Natalee’s father, David Holloway, sent to Judge Anna M. Manasco.

In the letter, also obtained by DailyMail.com, Holloway stated: “We have been robbed of a promising future together with our beautiful, talented Natalee. And now we know who took that future away from us.”

Holloway asked the judge to sentence Van der Sloot ‘to the fullest extent of the law’, saying: ‘Despite everything he has done to us, he has no remorse for what he has done. He expresses no remorse, remorse or even compassion for committing the heinous crime that violently ended Natalee’s life and irreparably changed the trajectory of us all.”

He labeled her daughter’s killer “evil personified.”
