Helldivers 2 is getting a new PS5 patch, the PC version has been rolled back due to performance issues
Arrowhead Game Studios has released a brand new patch for Helldivers 2 on PlayStation 5, after implementing and quickly rolling back the PC version due to performance issues.
The popular multiplayer shooter recently experienced a series of login issues after launching on February 8, even after a maintenance period that increased its server capacity to 360,000.
To further combat this issue, the developer released a brand new patch for PC on February 12. However, it was soon forced to withdraw the update after some players “experienced a significant performance degradation,” according to a message in the game’s official version. Disagreement server. That said, a fix for the mission reward issue (detailed in more detail below) has not been affected by the patch rollback and the update successfully launched on PS5 this morning (February 13).
The patch mainly addresses server capacity and login access issues, as well as progression and the aforementioned mission reward issues. Arrowhead has not specified the technical reason behind the performance degradation on PC, and at this time it is unclear when the PC patch will be included in the game again. However, the studio stated this morning: “We are currently investigating that issue with yesterday’s PC build.”
Unfortunately, this means PC users will have to wait until the issues are resolved. PS5 players will not be affected by this and can play the game safely with the latest update.
