Hellbound season 2 trailer brings Big Bad from the first season back from the dead
The second season of Hellboundthe korean fantasy thriller created by Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho, in just over two weeks. And as the latest trailer shows, fans of the series are in for an experience just as nightmarish and intense as last season.
The trailer for was released on Wednesday Hellbound season two picks up almost immediately after the first season’s cliffhanger, with seemingly hundreds of people previously condemned to hell and murdered by demonic beings coming back to life without explanation. That alone is cause for concern, before you even consider the fact WHO was raised. That’s right: Jeong Jin-soo (Yoo Ah-in), the founder of the international religious sect known as the New Truth Society and the antagonist of the first season is back, and he doesn’t look too attractive.
It seems like the Hellbound version of “The Blip‘ has caused significant chaos around the world, not to mention the impact it has had on The New Truth Society. Not to mention the return of the smoke demons from season one, who look set to wreak even more havoc in the wake of the mass resurrection. We also get a glimpse of the return of Min Hye-jin (Kim Hyun-joo), the tough lawyer who exposed the sect’s betrayal in the second half of the first season. And this time she has a police baton!
Between the return of Jeong Jin-soo, the rise of a new figurehead of the New Truth Society in the form of a mysterious woman known as Park Jungja (Kim Shin-rok), and the return of the demons, the stakes become Hellbound season two will be even more charged than the first.
Hellbound season two premieres on Netflix on October 25.
