Former Helen Skelton rugby player Richie Myler has welcomed a baby boy with his new girlfriend, Stephanie Thirkill.

The rugby player’s coach, Rohan Smith, confirmed that the Leeds Rhinos star had welcomed the couple’s first child.

It comes just 11 months after he split from Strictly star Helen.

Rohan said: “Richie has spent a lot of time in hospital with the birth of her new baby, so we’ve given her a bit of time off to settle in at home.”

She seemed to be making a targeted statement as she shared her hopes that the little girl would “act with integrity” and “encourage other women.”
