Her getaway to France comes just weeks after Helen officially divorced her rugby player husband Richie, 16 months after their high-profile split.

The TV star was granted a decree nisi, marking the end of their 10-year marriage, and the couple confirmed it in a statement.

Strictly star Helen announced her split from England and Leeds Rhinos rugby league star Richie last April.

Since the end of their marriage, Richie has had a baby with new girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill, 32, daughter of Leeds Rhinos chairman Andrew.

Helen and Richie are now awaiting the granting of a decree absolute which will legally seal the end of their 10-year marriage.

This is a legal formality when a decree nisi is issued, and the court will issue it because neither of them is contesting the divorce.

News of Helen’s divorce came as she revealed big changes in her life, including selling her former marital home and quitting her BBC Radio 5 Live show to spend more time with her children.

Also attending the Attitude Awards was Amanda Holden – who co-hosts the ceremony with Alan Carr.

The radio presenter, 52, looked stunning in a little black dress with a dramatic ruffled train.

Amanda was joined by a star-studded guest list including her Heart co-star Ashley Roberts and former Girls Aloud members Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.

A bevy of glamorous arrivals posed on the red carpet at the 12th annual event honoring the great and good of the LGBTQ+ community.

Amanda’s thigh-skimming dress revealed her enviably toned pins, while she teamed the look with a pair of bejeweled strappy heels.

This year the Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar, will be hosted by Alan Carr and Amanda.

This is the 12th time the awards have been held to honor those in the LGBTQ+ community and allies who support it.

The winners’ identities remain a closely guarded secret until the big night and will be announced in the following morning’s edition of the Attitude Awards.

As well as honoring those within the community, guests will also enjoy a range of stunning live performances throughout the evening.

After the ceremony, they will dance the night away into the wee hours at an exclusive after-party for attendees.

Marking the announcement, Amanda said: “Ever since I was made an honorary gay man in 2017, it has always been a dream of mine to host the Attitude Awards and I couldn’t think of a better person to co-host with than my dear friend Alan Carr.

“It’s so important right now that we come together and embrace this wonderfully diverse world we live in and accept everyone for who they are.” I can’t wait to be surrounded by the community as I play the gongs at this year’s ceremony.’

It’s official: Her trip to France comes just weeks after Helen officially split from rugby player husband Richie, 16 months after their high-profile split

Alan added: “It’s been a mixed year for our LGBTKIA+ family, incredible progress has been made and yet some truly upsetting setbacks have brought us down to six, which only makes the Attitude Awards all the more important and essential.

“I’m thrilled to not only be hosting this evening, but to be doing it with one of my best friends Amanda! The wildest, funniest night in the LGBTQIA+ calendar just got a little more shiny!’

During the awards ceremony, there will also be a charity raffle to raise money for the Attitude Magazine Foundation, which benefits LGBTQ causes.

Attitude Publisher Darren Stiles OBE said: “The 12th annual Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, powered by Jaguar, are the biggest and brightest we’ve produced yet, at a time when the LGBTQ+ community needs standard bearers, role models and icons to step up. get up and go out like never before.

“We built this platform to celebrate and uplift, and we certainly will, but – as always – we don’t take our eyes off the reality of life around us.” We will show that diversity, inclusiveness and love are not platitudes to be spewed by an aggressive interior minister, but real, lived values of millions of real people.

And the winners? Everything will be revealed, but it is fair to say that we did not invite the Prime Minister. That’s common sense, the way he likes it.’
