Helen Skelton Is Praised By Fans As She Makes Her Hosting Debut On Morning Live

She’s busy preparing for the Strictly live tour which starts on Friday.

But busy Helen Skelton also managed to make her Morning Live debut on Thursday when she performed alongside Gethin Jones for the first time.

The 39-year-old Countryfile star was praised by fans on social media during the show, who asked her to become a ‘regular’ on the BBC show.

One said: ‘@HelenSkelton, @GethincJones was correct; it was a pleasure to see them host @BBCMorningLive. I hope we see a lot more of you as you are a natural presenter.’

Another said: ‘Helen’s skeleton showing the difference between a proper presenter and what they usually have on the show!’

A third commented: ‘@BBCMorningLive @HelenSkelton is just a different class of Morning Live presenter. She make it permanent.

A fourth added: “I’m not a regular daytime TV watcher, but congratulations on your show, which is both informative and entertaining and made even better by @HelenSkelton’s natural and excellent presentation alongside Gethin Jones.”

She looked gorgeous on the show in a pretty pink and red jumpsuit and sported a matching lip gloss.

After the show, she shared snapshots on Instagram, writing in the caption: “Thank you for having me @bbcmorninglive lovely to squeeze you @karenhauer @gethincjones @ravwilding #bbc #morningtelly #morninglive.”

It comes on the heels of Helen continuing to adjust to life as a single mom last week and has shared a heartwarming glimpse of her healthy weekend spent with the little ones.

The star, who shares children Ernie, seven, Louis, five, and Elsie, one, with her former rugby player Richie Myler, 32, whom she split from last year, took a sweet selfie with her brood as they snuggled on top of her at home playtime.

She captioned the post shared with her 456,000 Instagram followers: ‘Always a ton. It usually ends in tears. #grateful #weekends #team’.

The black-and-white snapshots show the children in order of age sitting on Helen’s back as she lay on the ground, with little Elsie poking her head above her older siblings.

Elsewhere in Helen’s social media posts, the TV presenter took a story of Elsie in a forward-facing baby carrier as the two waited for Ernie and Louis to finish their Saturday morning rugby match.

Countryfile host Helen, who is in the middle of rehearsals for the Strictly live tour, captioned the moment: “Destined for a life waiting for big brothers,” with a smiley emoji.

She also showed off her 4am wake-up call with her only daughter, as they played a game of teddy tea parties.

Helen’s posts came shortly after her ex-husband Richie Myler apparently deleted her Instagram page after making his profile private after receiving “abusive messages”.

The rugby player ended his eight-year marriage to Helen in April 2022 and moved on with Stephanie Thirkill, who is now pregnant with their first child.

And, according to reports, the athlete left the social media platform for good after going private to remove those who “are here to share my photos or stories about me and my life in a malicious way.”

Posting about his decision to initially go private in October, Richie wrote to his followers on Instagram: “I have decided to make my profile private from now on.”

‘If you are here to share my photos or stories of me and my life maliciously with other people or waste your time sending me abusive messages, just unfollow me.

‘I’m going to start removing people from my account one by one, so if you’re a true rugby fan and I accidentally remove you, I apologize in advance and will accept you back! Thanks, Richie.

Richie’s profile is no longer listed on the social media platform.

It came after Helen used the unofficial royal family motto “never complain, never explain” as she put the split behind her, saying she would “just get on with it” raising her three children as a single mother in 2023.

The Strictly Come Dancing star posted a black and white photo of herself on Instagram as she introduced herself to the coming new year.

Helen shared a photo of herself smiling while at an earlier Strictly essay, writing: ‘Hey 2023…this is me. Never complain. Never explain. Just do it.

The Countryfile host also thanked her professional dance partner Gorka Marquez for taking the photo, noting that he is “everyone’s social media content man.”
