Helen Skelton recently opened up about why she had a ‘face like thunder’ when professional dance partner Gorka Marquez, 32, spoke about her private life on the air.

The discussion comes after Helen was seen live on the broadcast with an unimpressed expression when Gorka shared how the TV host, 39, had been having a “hard time” with her divorce from Richie Myler lately.

The professional dancer put a supportive arm around Helen in an unsolicited live broadcast and said, “I know you’ve been through a rough time and I know you might feel like you’re not pretty or good enough or something.”

He continued with ‘But if you don’t believe in yourself, I believe in you. Everyone here believes in you.’

After his unexpected speech, the audience started to applaud and fans of Strictly Come Dancing were quick to praise him on Twitter.

Helen, however, wasn’t too impressed because she had a “face like thunder” and her memes quickly went viral.

Helen has now tackled the awkward moment, telling: The sun that although she knows that he only has ‘her best interests in mind’, they should speak about what he can say ‘in public’.

“What I love about Gorka is that he wants the best for me and that we are really good friends,” she told the publication.

“But sometimes we may need to talk about what he’s allowed to say in public…”

Helen recently shared how the end of her eight-year marriage to Richie Myler made her “battle hardened.”

And the TV host claimed that after her marriage ended, it was the “best” time for her to join Strictly.

It was reported that Helen’s estranged husband Richie is expecting a child with his new girlfriend Stephanie, six months after he split from Helen.

Richie ended his eight-year marriage to Countryfile host Helen in April, just four months after she gave birth to their third child.

He is now expecting a baby with his new girlfriend Stephanie, 32, whom he would see for the first time just days after his divorce from Helen was revealed.

But even after the split, the former couple maintain “warm-hearted relations” and Helen was reportedly made aware of the news before Stephanie announced it publicly on social media.

Richie has two young sons Ernie, seven, Louis, five, and daughter Elsie Kate, nine months, with his estranged wife Helen.

Shows off his newfound relationship with Stephanie in May, just days after it was announced that his eight-year marriage to Helen was over.

Helen is said to feel “stunned” by the breakdown of her marriage, and a source close to the couple told MailOnline: “Helen is devastated.”

They continued, “Now she is contemplating life without him as he has moved on with his new partner.”
