The post comes after Helen revealed the co-parenting “compromise” she made with her ex-fiancé last year following their shock breakup.

When it comes to their oldest daughter wanting TikTok , the former couple came to an agreement as they navigate co-parenting.

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, she revealed that they’ve decided to let Matilda create a YouTube account instead – and that content is coming very soon.

She made the comments while promoting NickWatch, a new kids’ smartwatch from Nickelodeon, which she claimed her brood was “obsessed with.”

Helen explained, “My kids always ask me, ‘Oh, can mommy have a phone?’ all the time and, “Can I have a phone?”

“And my oldest, especially, always asks me, ‘Mommy, I want TikTok. I want TikTok.’ I recently went on holiday with her and that’s all she talks about.’

Helen continued, “But of course I’m not ready for my kids to have social media at eight years old.

“But this is really cool, actually the NickWatch, because they feel like they’re grown up because they can message you and they can send you voice memos.

“They can call you and they have loads of fun games and lots of things to do without social media. And the watch also has a GPS tracker, which is also really cool, so it’s a nice comfort for a parent.”

Helen has a million followers on Instagram and she explained how Matilda would like to follow in her famous mother’s footsteps as an influencer.

She continued, “I was 24 when I had Matilda. I am now 32. My little girl is almost eight. And of course I’m an actress, but I also work in social media, so that’s pretty much all she knows.

“Mom has always been on social media as part of my job and I feel a little guilty about that sometimes because she always wants to have TikTok and stuff, but I’m just not ready for that. I feel like she’s too young, you know? It’s a tough one.

“I think maybe when they get to high school, right? I think everything changes a little bit, when they get to high school, I think you can kind of control things in elementary school.

“It’s hard because you don’t want them to feel left out from their friends. Me and her dad, we co-parent together and we said she could have her own youtube channel.

So we kind of compromised on that. However, I have to get started. She’ll love it.’

When asked what kind of content fans can expect, Helen replied, “I’m not so sure, but I’m sure she’ll tell me.” She has a mind of her own. I’m sure she’ll come up with lots of ideas.’
