Helen Flanagan clutches Sally Dynevor’s hand as she breaks down in tears live on Loose Women discussing split from ex Scott Sinclair

Helen Flanagan burst into tears as she discussed her split from ex Scott Sinclair on Thursday’s Loose Women.

The former Coronation Street star, 34, who has three children with the footballer, appeared on the show alongside her former co-stars Sally Dynevor and Sue Cleaver, and presenters Kaye Adams and Denise Welch.

When asked if she believes in a ‘happily ever after’, Helen said: ‘I was with my ex Scott since I was 19 and he was like my world. I always thought we would be together. Always.’

Denise said the following about her mental health: ‘I know you’ve had a really hard time. Can you walk us through it? You’ve had a breakdown, a real psychotic breakdown.’

Helen, who played Sally’s daughter Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, fought back tears and grabbed Sally’s hand for support. She replied: ‘Gosh, I didn’t think I’d be so emotional today!’

‘I didn’t really want to talk about it, but I did because I was going on a six-month theater tour, so I talked about it.

Speaking about signing up for Celebs Go Dating, Helen said: ‘I loved it, so much fun. I think you just have to be open-minded and it was a great way to spend the summer.

“But I think it will take a very special person to introduce them to my children.”

This came after Helen, who was looking for her true love on the E4 dating show, spoke about her personal heartbreak following her split.

Helen has three children – Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and three-year-old Charlie – with her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair, but the couple split in 2022 before she tied the knot.

While she struggled with her emotions, she also had a terrifying reaction to her ADHD medication, which sent her into psychosis.

“I really wasn’t feeling well,” she recalls now. “I was actually struggling with my mental health around December and January, so I was taking my medication to try to feel better, but unfortunately it just made things worse.”

It took weeks for Helen to recover and she had to pull out of a tour of Cluedo, which she hoped would put her back in the spotlight.

She was eventually replaced by her former co-star and Strictly Come Dancing winner Ellie Leach, but she will instead make her comeback on Celebs Go Dating.

Dating agency Anna Williamson, 42, revealed Helen nearly got kicked out of Celebs Go Dating after breaking one of the agency’s rules.

Speaking about the juicy series, which airs later this year, Anna told The Sun: ‘Helen, I just love her.

‘What I will say about her – and I don’t want to give anything away – is that Helen has the biggest cliffhanger in a storyline that we’ve ever had in the history of Celebs Go Dating.

“Helen was almost thrown out of the agency two weeks ago. She did something big, which goes against all the agency’s rules.”
