During the day out, Helen shared a heartwarming clip of her “brave” daughter Matilda touching a starfish in the centre’s water sports section.
It comes after Helen, who is also mum to son Charlie, two, with her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair, was brutally shamed after being told where she bought her kids’ school shoes.
She took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of herself and her two daughters, not knowing she would get backlash for it later.
She wrote, “So for once I’m really organized for back to school. I wish I actually looked this calm and put together for school run x
“I got the perfect back to school shoes for my girls from @schuh that they both love. (can’t handle how cute Delilah looks in photo 3❤️…how does she not go to the reception and first year).
“I always buy my kids shoes at @schuh #wewearschuh #AD.”
Delilah and Matilda looked good as they got into their uniforms and prepared for their new school years.
However, the mom-shamers couldn’t resist trolling when they saw her spending £149 on school trainers.
There they go! With a wry smile for the camera, Helen playfully captioned the post: ‘What idiot lets their kids go on scooters at The Trafford Centre’
Matilda’s shoes belong to Dr. Martens and are on sale in store for £119, while Delilah donned a pair of black New Balance PE sneakers priced at £30.
Critics Wrote: ‘You’re Organized Because It’s Gifted’
‘Getting a uniform to advertise helps’
“You don’t pay for #AD, you get paid more than for the shoes”
“Literally using your kids to swear, absolutely shameless behavior. No doubt to pay for some more lip fillers or other nonsense for your ongoing quest to be someone.’
While some took a negative approach, Helen’s fans flocked to her comments to support the actress.
Helen’s post was paid for, and the actress made that clear by adding “AD” to the end of her caption.
Cruel: Helen Flanagan was ashamed of her mother after sharing where she bought her children’s school shoes
Fans wrote: “Everyone has to make a living… But maybe Helen is really happy with these kind of shoes and wants to share them with her fans… Please don’t forget that Helen has long been a child actress who has worked hard in her career to get her hair to where she is now…
“A professional actress is sometimes glamorous (normal) and like any other professional actress, she is also a parent and a mother… who adores and loves her children… (always putting her children as her number one priority).
“Please don’t post negativity comments if we have no idea what people really go through in their lives… Never judge a book by looking at its cover. My heart, I love them so much. Cute’
“They’re both so cute, can’t get over Matilda’s height now xxx”
