Heidi Montag reveals what she regrets leaving behind as she evacuated LA fire that destroyed her home

Heidi Montag revealed what she took with her and what she regrets leaving behind during the Los Angeles wildfire evacuation.

On Wednesday, the reality TV personality, 38, shared what she packed when she and her family had to flee the fire that burned through the Pacific Palisades and destroyed her home.

“I didn’t know what to do,” said the star, responding to the backlash she and her family received for receiving donations after losing their home. We weekly.

“Nothing could have prepared me for that,” she continued. ‘You just can’t ignore it. I started packing only things that made sense; I didn’t think of anything else.’

The Hills alum — who shares sons Gunner, seven, and Ryker, two, with husband Spencer Pratt — said she prioritized packing “the kids’ things.”

“So I got their teddy bears,” she recalled. ‘I randomly, from the tooth fairy, had Gunner’s teeth that he left in my cupboard, so I took them.

“I grabbed some documents we had, prepackaged [ones] from years ago from the [previous] burning,” she added.

‘I grabbed two pairs of jeans and two shirts. I grabbed a pair of shoes, a random pair of sneakers.”

As they rushed to evacuate, they had to leave behind many other important and beloved possessions.

Pratt, 41, said one was a special Christmas gift he convinced his wife to buy for herself.

‘She didn’t get anything. Then, right before Christmas, she bought these Golden Goose shoes at Palisade Village. It was her great gift. I thought, “Just get your Golden Goose.” She didn’t.’

Montag said she left them because she thought she would “come back for them.”

“At the end of packing, it dawned on me that I might not come back,” she explained. “I was like, ‘Oh my God, I have to go to the nursery and I have to get their bears. And I had Gunner, he had a fever — he had that for days — and I was just so into him.”

She explained that she “just grabbed things and worried and wondered aimlessly.”
