Heidi Klum Opens Up About Her Experience With THAT Worm Halloween Costume
Heidi Klum talks about the big plans her husband Tom Kaulitz is making for his upcoming 50th birthday, as well as what it was like to don a huge worm costume this past Halloween, on Thursday’s edition of The Jennifer Hudson Show.
Hudson, 41, asked Klum, 49, about the prospects for a big birthday party when she turns 50 on June 1, saying she had made it clear to her musician husband, 33, that she is a priority.
“I told my husband, you better get on it, it better be good,” the German native told Hudson. “Because every year wasn’t a big birthday…you’ll always have family and friends, but I thought 50, that’s like a pretty big number.”
Klum continued: “So I told my husband that now I would love to have a big birthday party,” turning to her husband: “Do you hear me, my love?”
Hudson brought up Klum’s famous fondness for Halloween, telling her, “I think you’re the queen of Halloween with the costumes.”

She pointed to Klum’s celebrated 2022 Halloween ensemble in which she dressed as a worm at a party at New York City’s Sake No Hana.
The Making the Cut personality explained the restrictions of the costume, which she worked on with Prosthetic Renaissance’s Mike Marino, as she couldn’t use the bathroom or move well in the flashy costume.
‘Already three hours before I’m not drinking anything, I’m not eating anything, because what are you going to do?’ she said.
Klum continued: ‘I can’t be, ‘I’ve got to go to the bathroom guys, get me out of this’, it’s not possible, I can’t even move my head to the side, I can’t go here. I can’t do anything I’m stuck so everything moves like this.
Klum said she was saturated while sweating in the costume while at the party in the Big Apple.
“I was so wet, it was literally like I was going, well, it wasn’t a snail trail, but it was a worm trail, ringworm, because I was sweating a lot,” she said.
Klum said she came up with the idea “long, long before” Halloween, and it was an arduous process to put together and fit into the costume.
“Because it had to be built, it was like a dangling foam thing and I have to fit exactly into it,” he said. ‘Besides I didn’t want any human body [parts] to be seen there, so you know I didn’t want to see a curve of a breast or a hip, so everything was tight and I was literally pinned there like this.
Hudson brought up Klum’s famous fondness for Halloween, telling her, “I think you’re the queen of Halloween with the costumes.”

Klum said that he could only move from one side to the other in the costume.
She said she could only move from side to side in the costume and joked to Kaulitz about turning to her right side if she fell while doing red carpet interviews.
Klum previously said the hollywood reporter from the elaborate ensemble: ‘It’s one thing to add prosthetics to your body, but being trapped inside the worm’s body and not being able to use my arms or feet really wasn’t very comfortable, but Halloween isn’t about comfort.
“For me, Halloween is about transforming and being creative,” Klum said, noting that she was grateful “that people appreciate the creativity and effort that went into creating this, as well as all the other costumes I’ve done in the past.”
